Last year was the series 20th anniversary but I don't think they did anything special for it! They could announce it at TGS/E3 this year though. Maybe Namco is just focusing all its attention on Tekken 7 right now and that's why SC is getting left behind?!
Also what happened to that apparently terrible free to play game?!

Wait really?! Didn't people pay real money on that game though? At least with that shut down though the team can focus on releasing Soul Calibur 6!
Also i was thinking about what id want for SC6 and I hope it goes back to individual endings and stories though. Otherwise if they stick with one story they better make it a lot better than what we got in SC5. Also I want the customization to be even better. And they need to bring back the old characters since that was probably peoples biggest complaint with the game!

they need to bring back Zasalamel, not just his moveset actually Zasalamel. the guy is flat out stated to be immortal so there is no reason he shouldn't appear and his moveset is very unique and shouldn't be missing from the series. people love scythes as weapons so why they would remove that as an option baffles me alongside many other SC5 decesions.
They might hesitate to announce SC 6 to not steal Tekken 7's show. :/ They finished work on Soul Calibur 5 already 4 years ago...I'm sure they long started working on SC6. It might even be pretty far in development already considering their hints. The longer it takes the greater things I am hoping for. *sigh*
I'm just afraid they'll wait for Tekken 7's release on consoles to finally announce SC. That could take another year. ;__;

Yeah that's what I was thinking that they don't want to steal Tekken 7's thunder by releasing at a similar time and are holding off its announcement until after its release! But I agree the longer its in development the more they can add to the game and polish it.
Tekken 7 Fated Retribution releases July in arcades... The console version might release a whole year later (there isn't even a release date yet). I swear they are starving us on purpose. ;__;

Wow I thought fated retribution was already out! On second thoughts I hope they just release SC6 first then cause I cant wait until possibly 2018 for it!

I guess not. If its between getting an unfinished product or waiting an extra year etc then I'll wait. Right now even though I'm excited for Tekken 7 I want to know how the possible development of SC6 is doing.
No, not a Street Fighter 5 scenario again. x_____X I have no attachment to Street Fighter but to Soul Calibur. If they pull a SFV I will be really hurt...

This is pretty off topic from what's currently being said but... What even is the direction that the stories going In right now? Cause I mean scv just kind of shoved people into the story wherever they fit!
Some characters have a direction like Viola getting her memory back and realising she's Amy. But a lot of characters don't have a clear direction!
Also when it comes to characters give me Cassandra and Amy and I'm cool!

I hope they go back in time again and Soul Calibur 5 and it's characters and story did never happen.
