Well, the most important parts of any fighter are still missing (arcade and versus CPU). Basically no one asked for challenges or trials, so there is still a long, long road ahead for SF5 to be considered a complete game. I won't touch it again until it is. But Capcom won't care much since they already got my money. :/

And that's why it's always best to wait a day or two before release and see what's up.

a lot of people are asking for trails and challenges actually. aside from the prospect of earning more FM from them they can really make it easier to play different characters.

From what I heard yesterday, there was a Death Pool bracket in Street Fighter V over at NCR. Believe it or not, Marn survived the death pool and is now at Top 8.

That's not a reason to remove it though.
Sgh was my preferred super for the utility and raw damage, though meter sucked.

And DDT may have been situation but its still another very good tool, so again, no reason to lose it.

Most of the appeal of Alex for me was how he had a different grapple for evetyconcievable situation
Except that never really was the case at high level play.

Alex in 3S was a low tier character who'd main problem was the fact that he really didn't have alot of options, at least not ones that could compare to those of the top tier, and needed alot of compromises to win.

Finally, some actual tournament talk.

I repeat: there's no legitimate reason to remove those moves, though.

And since i clearly don't understand, please tell me exactly how those moves are useless at high level. I'm not arguing Alex was low tier, but that the moves were "useless" considering I got a LOT of mileage out of them.

Don't fall for the bait @d3v .

In regards to the Marn GIF though, it amazes me to hear West Coast commentators always bringing up that "New York is scared of playing Mikas because they feel she's strong." in a joking way to imply that she's god awful tier or not as crazy high as people from NY think Mika is. Girl is amazing, but I'm waiting for the day they stop talking about it like "Those crazy New Yorkers just don't know the trick to beat the trickster. hahaha."

By the way...wasn't there supposed to be a patch today? In less than two hours it is already tomorrow here in the EU. :/

You know I keep it competitive. I honestly didn't think Marn would make a comeback into SF. Also, was that the fourth time Nash won a tournament? (EDIT: I miscounted. It was three)

Expect one today (which I believe that's why maintenance is happening right now in order to prep for the update). Also, I think the PS4 is getting an update tomorrow as well.

Looking to replace my main as Ken with Alex. I love Ken's tools and how he plays but the only thing about him I can't seem to get around is his lack of range on normals and I don't have an interest in playing Ryu. Hopefully Alex can do it for me.
