DOA6 1.02 Patch Notes and Core Fighters Released

Team NINJA has released Dead or Alive 6: Core Fighters alongside the 1.02 update patch notes that fixes various bugs and makes adjustments to characters. Even though the full list of changes have been released by Team NINJA, fighters are strongly encouraged to share and compile any possible hidden tech here at FSD. New players can get involved with DOA by installing Core Fighters for free on any platform and will have plenty of options to learn the game and characters at their own pace.

For simply checking out DOA6 you get Diego, a new character, for free. Also included for free: Kasumi, Bass and Hitomi! Team NINJA picked a strong assortment of characters to start off your DOA6 experience that will properly teach you different weights/classes. Additional characters are 3.99 and can also be purchased in bundles with the story being sold separately for 20.00 as a fun optional add-on.

Team NINJA's generosity continues with the inclusion of DOA Quest (with 20+ brand new quests added in the update), all of the game and training modes plus levels are at your disposal for free! You can access DOA Central and buy costumes, explore the encyclopedia and even make music changes. Pretty incredible deal when Team NINJA and the community are just beginning with DOA6s lifespan and the official game only came out two weeks ago.

The new update adds Nyo-Tengu to the game stores, fixes issues with online modes, and also adds additional wedding costumes for purchase and game/character adjustments. Some examples are Leifang's Unshu guaranteeing attacks again, and it seems Mila can no longer juggle into machine gun from 4P anymore. What have you found from 1.02? Sound off in the forum!

Well don't need to buy a physical copy now since Core Fighters kind of fell into my lap. Do we have day 1 patch notes?
 
March 15th and STILL no lobbies. I've been trying to get my friends to play this game but they are too busy laughing at me for playing a fighting game without lobbies on release. This is some basic shit KT. With the release of Core Fighters it is the perfect time to put in lobbies so new players can hop in and spectate higher level players or practice against people who main their character. Also pretty disappointing that only 4-5 characters got updated intros/outros in this patch, especially considering that these are just recycled DOA5 animations.

  • Costumes are randomizing for both fighters now during DoA Quest.
  • Costume pattern point overflow to another outfit on that character, or another character from your unmaxed list.
  • Unowned DLC costumes don't show up on AI characters.

I liked this possibility, even though I found it odd. I understand they took it, but... damn have they just realized it ?!

I wonder what they mean by "Adjusted graphics" ?

I definitely expected more Quests. I'm surprised you didn't...I also expect Quests for the future dlc characters.

Its been said a dozen times now. Lobbies wont be till the end of the month. Would you rather they released them completely broken? I'd rather they release it working.

There's plenty to be doing in the mean time - lots to adjust to, lots to unlock. Better out and working, than rushed and broken.
 
Anyone know if you can get all the PS4 trophies in Core fighters? I can't remember any I couldn't have got from the features listed... but I guess they might be disabled somehow?

I don't understand why Brad was hit the damage reduction stick so many times. This was the first time Brad ever got to be apart if big boy damage club and make people feel wary against him.
How was his damage output unbalanced compared to others on the roster?


Anyone know if you can get all the PS4 trophies in Core fighters? I can't remember any I couldn't have got from the features listed... but I guess they might be disabled somehow?
I have all of the achievements for the full gane and I don't foresee any that you would miss by using core fighters.

It's getting a little ridiculous at this point, I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and wait two weeks for them to iron out any bugs but now we have to wait an entire month for a feature any self-respecting fighting game comes out with at the START. It's like buying a car but having to wait a month before the air-conditioning starts to work, or buying a Battlefield game without Rush for the first few months. They put in all this effort into releasing DOA Quest and Core Fighters but don't even have the basic ability to PLAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS ONLINE in the game. They need to be held accountable.
