Blaze, as seemingly intimidating as some people are coming off, no one is saying you're forbidden to play Zack. They simply want you to understand that you'll have some uphill battles against opponents who know what they're going with said character.
With the right training from the right people with the right mindset on playing Zack (and I'm sure there are two of them), I believe you can make the most of Zack over time. Keep in mind that DrDogg has played DOA2U Helena - one of the worst characters in the game - back in its heyday... so he should understand how you feel better than anyone.

I don't think his stance transitions were safe in DOA4 either... but it's been too long to remember exact frame data (and I don't care enough to look it up).

They weren't doing them on block that's for damn sure. His transitions can be easily counter hit.

The level of knowledge in DOA4 is relatively low, even today. Most people didn't know when you can interrupt and punish mid-string. I don't think that will be the case in DOA5. Although online anything goes...
Zack is low tier. He's not the worst though.

How big of a disparity is there between the tiers? Is it like VF5FS where it doesn't really matter much as much as in some other games?
