When I found out that Leon & Ein wasn't going to be on DOA5, I didn't get upset about it. Leon & Ein was awesome characters & they were fun to use.
What I was so upset was playing DOAD on 3ds, the d-pad is terrible, my hands was starting to hurt because how small the design is & what make things worse is because theres was NO DOA fighter on PSP. But now we specifically have DOA on consoles & so far
its a amazing game with better mechanics than DOAD but its missing two legendary characters that people love from the previous series. I understand the crying voices from the fans but what I learned in life is that you can't be stuck in the past you have to accept how it is and move on. No hard feelings people, they were my favorites and I missed them too.

I wouldn't take what they said about DLC as the word of God. It's all about money. As said above if they think enough people will pay for these characters they'll either pop up a DOA5 (Insert imagination here) Edition or simply say they changed their mind and they'll pop up as DLC.

What they could do is do a re-release of DOA5 that features all DLC costumes and stages with the addition of Ein and Leon as two new playable characters. That'd be way later on down the road, but it could happen.

I played Ein in 4 and I think Mila is fine. And it's not Ein is a Hitmoi copy cat. It's moreso he's Hitmoi vanilla/lite. He's just an easier version of hitmoi with some moves of his own.

I seriously don't know what to vote. It's a double-edged sword.. I fundamentally don't mind if they added Leon in as DLC. I would want to support this so that people who really want him back will be happy and such.
But.. Basically, another character needs to go through the redesign and balancing shenanigans and that's a lot of work. That means they will probably never release him for free, and, I'm not willing to pay for another character that I'm not gonna use anyway, and I bet I'm not the only one who thinks that way.
Aside from that.. Some people will have him and others will not. How will that be dealt with online? Only playing against people that have it too? The community should not be divided.
How will that influence tournaments? If he's allowed, the people who bought him will have a great advantage over the ones who didn't since they basically don't know him at all. Will people be forced to get him or will he be banned? Neither of them is a good option in my opinion.
I guess to avoid complications it might be better to leave things as they are. I'm pretty sure there is a character in the current roster that can suit anyone... But yeah, I won't vote against anyway.

It's quite easy..... he comes in as a new character through an update. Basically he would be locked for everyone who didn't download(unlock) him. If you played other fighting games (Marvel vs capcom 3 or the new Mortal Kombat) DLC chars were added and could compete with others even if they didn't have the character.
Exactly what I was thinking ...
I would personally welcome free DLC , but I'd gladly take this alternative as well ...

Hell yeah! I'd love to see this old war horse return & Bayman needs his old rival buddy back.
I would also love to see a stage dedicated to him as well, maybe a dry, sun blazing desert with heat haze effects, oasis mirages & the odd camel or vulture hanging around. Someone also mentioned Roland with Leon's move-set. I reckon that would be pretty gold too.

I'm going to say no to him as DLC, and honestly I'd say no to any DLC fighters no matter who they are, now a rerelease down the road or just a return in DOA 6 is fine by me. Team Ninja has more issues to deal with like finding and fixing bugs. I don't want them to even think about new fighters until they get the core gameplay polished to near perfection.
Once I can set my language to Japanese and it stays that way, any and all game breaking glitches are found and delt with, hell when I can use the fighters list AI that they put in the game, then they should start thinking about new fighters, and I'm thinking that shouldn't even begin until 6 to 9 months from now.
So me no, no to DLC fighters, yes to Leon and Ein in DOA 6, and honestly with they way they story went I can easily see Ein being brought back as a separate person from Hayate.

We are not denying the importance of bug fixing and online fixing ... those things hold priority and I could not agree with you more.
but this is a request for the Return of Leon and possibly Ein ... being before, after , or even WITH the patches ..
the question is simple ... would you like to see them back or not ?
