You all need to make sure you understand what is going on before asking Team Ninja for nerfs/buffs.

And I agree about Helena, its really gay that you can't get out of her Infinite offense.

You can if you correctly block her mix-up, which is hard.

Some games out there don't have invincible wake-up options at all (SoulCalibur). It leads to strong rushdown, but it is very much playable.

If you block Helena's mix ups then she'll grab you. Serious its the A.I. that needs to be nerf, not the characters.

Why Jann Lee? Because of his Dragon Gunner? You can interrupt that shit And I agree about Helena, its really gay that you can't get out of her Infinite offense. Jann Lee doesn't need to be nerf, matter fact, no one needs to get nerfed.

How do you interrupt it? I feel like the only nerf I'd want is shittier recovery off of 66k because -4 is too fast, and that move is too good. I feel like it should be more throw punishable than a standing grab like the previous games. And that's it. I'd leave the rest alone.

You can throw punish the dragon gunner or simply avoid it by ducking. I don't see what the problem is. This been discussed before.

I wasn't talking about nerfs, the tweet asked what character you think is the strongest in the game. I said Jann Lee, unless any of you know of some Godlike tech that suddenly makes another character even more braindead.

TN shouldn't nerf anything of Jann Lee's moves because he is Bruce Lee lol, he supposed to be god like. XD
remember when you fight him, don't think, feel..:jannlee:

It was +1 in DoA3.1, so yeah...It's fine at -4.

It seems like TN is still askinf for advice, just when in the blue hell is this patch supposed to come along? Netcode needs fixing, glitches need to be patched ASAP.

I imagine (or hope rather) the long wait just means they are taking in feedback and working on a lot of different things, resulting in a big patch.

I'm hoping for this too. DOA5 ver.2013. The wait is taking too long though.

Getting wishlisty here, but I'd hope that would include Ein if we're going new versions entirely. The balance is already pretty derpy, a character or two more can't really make it any worse.

I'm hoping for more characters too. But system changes are my main hope (nerf on holds and wake up kicks, shorter critical threshold, etc).

You don't understand how ridiculous it is to fight Jann Lee. He is essentially, an easy character to play as, with every tool he needs to win the game. Sidestepping him does help, until he throws in another string, since they end up hitting you after sidestep. His 66T leads to a good stun game, he has a good unblockable he can throw to mix up, fast moves, damaging throws, but worst of all, ridiculously high damage off of stupid combos. Just by playing a simple stun game (which he is already good at due to delayable attacks and dragon stance) he can take away up to 67% of your life bar.
Honestly, I don't mind if a character is good, but the amount of damage he does for minimal amount of effort is just stupid, even you must admit it. In the end, that's what it comes down to. Jann Lee is an easy character who can win with minimal to almost no effort.

Ok, cut about 15% of Jann's damage output on everything he does. Is he still too good?

Hey, read the first post again. Are you sure you understand everything about fighting Jann Lee?

He is essentially, an easy character to play as, with every tool he needs to win the game.

There's nothing bad about it.

Jann Lee is an easy character who can win with minimal to almost no effort.

I don't think this is the case in this game with any character. He may be the easiest (may be not), but not effortless. You still need to defend, you still left at disadvantage with most attacks on block.

Jann Lee the easiest to use? Maybe. But that doesn't mean he is easy to win with. You won't see just anyone winning with Jann Lee.
