If you get to that arena after Doku... prepare to be there a while.

I know what you are referring about, the fight against the 120 Berserkers (or at least I think that this is the number in MN mode). Anyway I'm not so good to be at similar levels XD For now I have the necessity to beat a single one in Doku's mission.

If just this give me troubles in normal mode, I can't imagine to fight more than one in a single row...

PS: Thanks CyberEvil and Brute for your answers :)

Yeah fuck that fight there really isn't anything that can convince me fighting 120 berserkers is worth it...well a new weapon would but you don't get a new weapon you get a devils jewel so hell no

For the record (so I know I didn't miss anything), there are 4 scarabs and no skulls in the demo, right?

I'm also curious as to how they do the single katana. For example, can you still use just Jinran-Maru after collecting the Blade of the Archfiend (that would be awesome)?
It would be really cool if in Ninja Trials they took away Ryu's corrupted arm, gave him his gauntlet back, and gave him the dragon sword for his single sword.

I do like the way you can choose to do either the Underworld drop or Izuna drop now depending on your input, rather than just replacing the Izuna.
I hoped sorta for the same thing, though my hopes were that the single sword style and dual sword style could be mixed and matched for different properties (or maybe just aesthetics). That way you could choose to wield the Dragon Sword, True Dragon Sword, Jinran-maru, or the Blade of the Archfiend depending on your taste.

I prefer the Dragon Sword over the BotA and Jinran-maru in both situations, but I'd rather pair the Dragon Sword with Jinran-maru over the BotA.

BotA was cool when Genshin used it... but I don't think it can truly cover the Dragon Sword's spot.

It really just see it as a side-trial for those who really want to test their endurance. The satisfaction from completing it is a bigger reward than any in-game item. It's mainly just for completionists who want to test themselves, I think.

@Takeda: Agree completely.

Oops totally didn't respond to this. Four scarabs, yeah. No skulls. As for the sword thing, you can choose not to level the sword up I suppose...not sure how the skill system works with the story though since you get Jinran Maru and Blade of the Archfiend in cutscenes. Guess we'll see, but my guess is that your sword will look like whatever the highest sword level you bought looks like.

Thanks. Shame, as BotA is probably 3...
Now what would really be cool is if lvl.4 became available upon beating the game, which allowed you to use the True Dragon Sword (which I think should have its glowing blade returned from previous games).

Agree, something just for personal satisfaction, really similar to beat Omega Weapon (for who played Final Fantasy VIII).

I thought that the single sword style progression was locked to the story, seeing as you would probably need the BotA for the Underworld Drop but I never played the actual game, just watched stuff on youtube.

Speaking of leveling the swords, I (think I) faced a glitch the other day, a good glitch nonetheless but I'm 100% sure my eyes did not fool me. The demo limits you to lvl 2 weapons and I'd suppose that it limits your UT depending on the lvl... but I shit you not it did the lvl 3 UT for me when I went do it with the dual katanas.

It was funny too because I'd seen it a million times in videos but I activated the UT (from bloody rage, no idea what multiplier) and I went to slide after the second wind slash, but he just crossed his arms and let the 3rd one fly... I couldn't believe it... I just hope I wasn't trippin.

If it happens again, I'll definitely catch it and see if there's certain credentials. Otherwise... I don't know.

That's how it was in vanilla NG3, but in the RE demo with Jinran-Maru at level 2, you can do XYXXXY for the Izuna drop or XYXXX->Y for the Underworld drop, even at level 2. Found that interesting.

I noticed sometimes with Ayane I was able to chain 3 different target strikes in my UT, when usually I can only do 2 (I'm assuming the number of slash segments corresponds to weapon level). Was curious about that.

I also swear I saw when I was upgrading that it said for the single sword style "The Blade of the Archfiend, sword of the Black Spider Clan Leader Genshin". I didn't upgrade it because it wasn't the one I was focused on but looking back I'm starting to wonder if I'm going crazy or something... @.@

So I'm not alone!

Seems more annoying than difficult to me that's more along the lines of your happy when you complete it because you can finally stop.which in my opinion really sucks the fun out of the gàme.

I love how much they use Ryu's dashes now.oh look your gaurding? here let me just stick in your back then *disappears*

Also it may just be me but have the Falcoln Tallons got more brutal,I don't recall Ryu jamming his entire leg into the enemy in NG2

Lol they've always seemed brutal to me, but more brutal? Yea I think so too.

Anyone else enjoy play like this? (Sorry if you don't like DnB)

Damn im bored of the demo now and there is still 19 days left

shieeet >.>
If you've unlocked everything already (I'll have that done pretty quickly when I get home) then just play other things for a while. DoA5+ hits for Vita on Tuesday, as well as some other big releases. I'd have everything unlocked already too but I had to start over when I switched from PS3 to Xbox and I basically just ran straight through to unlock Kasumi haha. She's just so damn good...

Guess im a just play doa and counter strike until it comes out

btw I don't like kasumi that much, Ayane is much better IMO

It'll come down to preference but I'm enjoying Kasumi more. She's the best character in the game thanks to Sakura Modai. Ayane might have been the best except for her slower kunai throwing speed and her UT being hard pressed to hit more than two enemies unless they group up. Kasumi can kill 5-6 easily because of how much movement hers has. Her Ninpo is more effective and useful than any the other characters have, too.

Kasumi is top tier no doubt. I'll likely be experimenting now that I've got unlocks out of the way. See if I can find hidden tricks and stuff before release.

Im a try doing no damage runs to keep myself occupied

I tried in morning and gave up after like 10 minutes lmao xd

I should make a montage of how many times I die during this with the bs moments XD

Doing a no damage run in NG:B is very different from a no damage run in NG2 or 3, where you are expected to take minimal damage through bullet spray, shave damage, etc. rather than avoid damage altogether like in Ninja Gaiden: Black. I wouldn't imagine a challenge like that being very feasible, let alone fun, in NG3.

I've done no damage runs quite a few times...and I'm not trying to get through NG3RE without taking damage. Might be possible in the demo due to not being full levels, but a lot of the system changes make it nearly impossible now. taking damage through a blocked attack chief among them.
