I use the delimb-everything SoB method and I continue working from that. Doesn't mean getting an S would be easy for me since I still die a lot. Speaking of which, I haven't touched the Chapter Challenges yet since I'm focusing on unlocking the challenges for every difficulty first. Can death have a negative effect on my overall rank?

No. Deaths don't factor in at all and the time and damage bonuses you get are also negligible. So if you want to spend five minutes on a single encounter baiting out SoB, that's totally fine. I actually get bored doing karma runs to the point where I'm usually looking back and forth between the game and my Surface Pro every few seconds.

The S-rank grinding is as boring as killing boars to reach max level (props for those who get the reference).

It's less than 2 weeks until the full-game release. If it's giving you too much headache, I recommend just waiting for the full game. Hopefully nothing in the retail version will be unlocked for getting S ranks (except perhaps trophies/achievements).

That's very good to know. Hopefully if I'm not too tired from class in the morning and afternoon, I'll try to spend the rest of my free time on Ayane's MN run and the previous challenge chapters. It's gonna be a loooooooooong grind D:

You'll pick things up as you play with the rest of us. Plus, you're probably a lot better than you think you are. As long as you understand what's going on you have plenty of room to grow.

why tf does kick chip damage from enemies take off like 70% of your health? Block a sword, you're fine, but a kick, you're done for.

Chip damage in a beat 'em up / hack n' slash game. Probably one of the dumbest ideas I've ever known <_<

Because the kicks you're talking about, likely the cartwheel kick or the running aerial kicks, does a mini guard break on the first hit if you try to block it. So you take damage from the rest of the move. You should never be just standing still blocking anyway.

Not all of them. NG3 has a very strange and unreliable block/dodge system regarding when you can and can't take damage. You really just have to be aware of each different attack type.

Unlike previous games, Ryu doesn't seem to 360 block anymore, either. He will spin to block an attack from his sides, but that will leave his back exposed if you're getting attacked from two different directions. It might just be an illusion with the funky recovery frames that makes me think that, but it certainly seems like it. If someone could confirm/de-confirm that, I'd be grateful.

Can you put your usb stick in your ps3 and copy the ng3 RE demo savedata file into the usb stick and thne upload the file for me to download it, so i can play kasumi.. i have already tried to beat the modes.. but i am not good at it =( PLEASE

Finally! Yeah the limb removal seem to work best for me. Also there is a part down below after you take out one of the second arrow dudes after running along side a wall, where there is a bunch of purple demon bastards. Jump down there to get yourself some extra SOB action.

No, saves are locked to profile and can't be shared.
