I wanted ask if the levels of difficulty in chapter challenge are unlocked beating the same levels at the same difficulties in the story mode... Because I beaten both story mode levels at "Hero" and "Normal" difficulty, but currently I can play the chapter challenges just at Normal difficulty.

I don't know if I have been enough clear XD

Beating the story missions on hard mode would unlock that mission on hard mode in chapter challenge and etc...

Don't beleive so,you can do it with whatever character if I've heard right.

Ninja Gaiden shouldn't be played on hero mode anyhow, try beating hard then try again.you may need to beat both Ryu's and Ayane's btw.

LOL, I beaten the demo in hero mode just because I wanted to unlock the difficulty in chapter challenge, everything to unlock Kasumi in the end. I'm far to be a good NG player, but however I like to play the series (and the games in general) at highter difficulties to test myself.

Today I beaten Ryu' story level at hard, I need to do the same with Ayane's one and I will see what happen.

Guys you don't need to spam SoB to get S rank

All you need to do is keep your bloody rage up and it can be done by Uts and OTs
Not exactly, as using UTs will end your bloody rage and reset your multiplier. It can be done with quick OTs, but they must be very fast.

The longest bloody range extensions are from SoB. As Brute said, OTs will add .1 to it (rather than the .2 from SoB or UT) but the bonus dies out fast. UTs add to it but also don't extend the time much at all. SoB is integral to keeping it going. I generally get it to 3.0 and burn the UT (3k karma is the most you can get for anything really, and UTs can kill several at once) but you could just keep chaining SoB if you want.

^^

I hate kasumi, always whining and never listens

She is hot though

Her Doa5 version doesn't whine more, especially I think her incarnation in Razor's Edge ;)

Thanks Brute and CyberEvil for the info about the multiplier: anyway I've seen that while sometimes the enemies grab you continually, other times it's very rare and for having the possibility to use the SoB is needed force them to grab through their mutilation (so not a thing so easy for me).

Ut doesn't end bloody rage unless you use the glowing arm UT

You don't need much karma anyway for s rank, as long as you get A lot of S rank on time & health you can get s rank without any sob

I wasn't aware it was possible to have bloody rage without having the arm.

It is but the multiplier would be insanely low. You can trigger bloody rage after a single SoB and just use a level 1 UT...but I'm hoping if anyone does that it'd be a mistake lol.

dang I'm pretty good with SOB. Some quick tips that help. Cut off limbs. They are more likely to try and grab you, so you can SOB. Also the teleport works well too for evading grabs.

Any de-limbed enemy will immediately try to grab you once they get close to you, so yes, SoB is easy if you de-limb. The problem, especially on higher difficulties, is that the other enemies aren't going to hold still while you wait for them to start the grab when you get close. All it takes is a burst of gunfire or weak melee attack to guard or hitstun you and BAM, instant death or large loss of life.

If you plan on going that route, you'd best de-limb everything before letting any of them get close enough to try and grab you. On Normal and Hard you can basically throw caution to the wind but MN and UN you're asking to become the poster child for Murphy's Law.

YES!! I finally unlocked Kasumi, Chaos style  Now I don't have to worry about that horrible cheap MN and I can breathe again.

Tip for SoB Delimb:

Run around the enemy in in a diagonal fashion or slide dodge the enemies around the delimbed person

Goodness gracious, after not playing the demo for a whole week, I get back on to play through Ryu's Master Ninja stage and I've been stuck there for over 2 hours. Steel on Boning (pfft hah, boning...) is a piece of cake to me now, but unlocking Kasumi isn't worth the struggling for getting all S-Ranks in every stage and difficulty x_x

Shouldn't be a struggle if you're solid with SoB chaining. It's boring but it's the easiest S rank method by far. If I play normally, even without dying and barely getting hit I can only manage an A and it's annoying haha.
