lol Some DOA fans never cease to amuse me... First people bitch about an update that's going to add tons of new content, now they don't want the ability to personalize their characters.

I think most people love customization and would be shocked if TN didn't go that route with DOA6. I look forward to the day I can slap a mask on Ayane or give Tengu a sombrero.

By a show of hands, who wants to have a decent customization feature? (color edit, hair styles, accesories (without the goofiness))
This. So long as it's more akin to VF5FS's customization since their accessories for each respective character works for one another. Although, personally, I find T6's customization to be the best in any fighting game since there are so many options and the not-so-goofy stuff works well for the cast.

Call me the odd one out, but I just like customization in general, okay? <.<

they were bitching about the update costing money not the update itself

Thats one thing I hate about Tekken customization, making characters looking like
goofy pathetic retards. I agree about customizing DOA fighters but as long it doesn't have retarded shit like Tekkens.

I don't mind customization as long as there aren't any retarted options or you can at least turn them off. Done well it would be great.

That will be the majority of garbage you will see if customization is added. Do you "really" want that in the game? I sure as hell do not. Customization has no place in fighting games. It's distracting and takes away from the game.
Ughhhhh!! Fuck that shit I rather have color swaps than this disgusting trash. o_O

I hope something like this will open the eyes of the players here who want to do it.

No to customization.

I say there's always a place for customization in fighting games if done reasonably. SCV's was just far too in depth for its own good. Tekken 6's and VF5FS's felt just right. Axe out the silly stuff in place of items that FIT the character and there's a winning formula. They never distract me at all during fights. Instead, I take a large amount of interest in the many different kinds of combinations people come up with and the kind of awesome looking appearances I can make up with the equipment given. Customization doesn't keep me away from playing the game, but it keeps me coming back for more and more. I probably wouldn't have played Tekken 6 for as long as I have without it, and the same couldn't be said for Tag2's customization since that mode sucked donkey dookie in comparison.

I'm not trying to say TN should put customization into DoA5U / DoA6, because how else is TN supposed to milk cash via DLC with little effort (sarcasm)? I honestly see no place for a full on customization mode for DoA, but a Color Edit mode with a few accessories here and there to dabble in would be a major step for the series. And to be completely honest, I've lost faith in the new TN's ability to design an appealing costume that isn't boring to look at. Least they could do next time is give us a color edit mode a la CvS2 so clothing riddled down by variant shades of gray and white don't put me to sleep anymore <_<;

I think a "Color Edit" would probably be more than enough. As long as it has limitations. I for example don't want to see Jann Lee's iconic Bruce's outfit in a pink version or someone using a Helena that isn't blonde.

People have actually made a lot of really creative costumes using decals in Tag2. If your game lets you costumize your characters as Batman and Spiderman or a KOF character, imagine what other cool and creative ideas people may have.

I don't mind the customization idea, but I'd rather it were kept to clothes already in the franchise, with recoloring options.

Mostly to put Tina, Lisa, and Christie in a more tasteful swimsuit.
