I dunno. I can see where he's coming from. If nothing else, it's no worse than that one review we all whined about, earlier.

I think it's a bit of a "duh" moment to read that losing made him want to step up his game. That's sort of intrinsic to fighting game players as a whole. We only lack that motivation if we think a game sucks.

I'm hearing a lot of "make it more like VF," whether you were thinking it that way or even realise that you want it. Jus' sayin'.

Pai is widely regarded as one of the most beginner-friendly Virtua Fighters. What do you mean by painting a broad stroke that all VF characters are so restrictive?

Always much easier to get serious about learning a character that you naturally, genuinely find appealing. The bond between a player and his/her main is sacred, yo.

Have to agree about Kasumi. She's simple enough to be good with her by accident.

I think Ayane creates the illusion of intended distance, but that screws with the opponent when she just as quickly closes the gap to strike properly, whereas Hayabusa is (apparently; I never use him) best kept at that distance.

Regarding Gorgoroth, look 'em up! Relatively speaking, not a whole heck of a lot of people like Black Metal, but Gorgoroth are my all-time favourite band, not just of that genre. If you like some of their best tunes (their best being "Funeral Procession"), you might like Dissection, Emperor...

I have a feeling that a bunch of people mentioned that, or otherwise expressed positive remarks about the Virtua Fighters' inclusion.

Judas Priest and Gorgoroth are my top two faves. Should give a pretty decent impression of my general tastes, so as not to have me list off a million and one difficult to pronounce band names.

I still don't have DOA sidestepping down, on that note.

I love how it makes Sarah seem terribly out of place. She's been attending tournaments with Japanese-speaking folk for years, now, and even when completely surrounded by Japanese speaking fighters, she refuses to speak in anything but her native tongue.
