From what I gather, her occupation is working part time at the family business (a diner more specifically), her hobbies include touring, batting center, and collecting souvenirs of the places she's visited, she's meant to be a Yanki, and she's a fangirl of Tsukushi and her manga (in fact, Tsukushi and her manga is the reason why she arrived with her motorcycle in tow). I think she also saved the Owner from an umbrella falling on him in another teaser clip (though it's initially framed in such a manner that made it seem as though she was going to beat him to an inch of his life). Her favorite foods are Canned Coffee and Chikuzenni.

Well, in any case, she'll do, though I DO request they make SURE Rachel gets in sooner as opposed to later, especially with that Year of the Ninja thing. They earlier said that they'll add DOA/NG girls to commemorate special events, and Year of the Ninja last I checked matched the definition of a Special Event.

I’m not really accepting this character. Infact, I think it might be time to start reminding TN who writes their paychecks.

Azusa's a nice name. Visually she seems more or less too much like others again (guess I shouldn't be surprised), but that said, I think she may be one of my more liked of the new girls, definitely top tier for me already relatively speaking but I'm not ready to call her my favourite new Venus yet... made that mistake with Reika before I started to think she was kinda boring despite her appearance (then I went back to seeing Monica as the best of the new ones).

Her gimmick is my least favorite thing about her. Obviously, she has some size and weight which I can appreciate, but her hair seems too close to Honoka and I don’t care much for her motorcycle.

The new girl imo I'm not feeling all that much. She's nice design wise but idk, she seems like a sort of rushed attempt to make a tomboy with faint girliness, she kinda reminds me of a Hwoarang for some reason. I mean if she becomes available for steam early enough I'll get her but shes not a design I would have hoped for

Lol, love a lady on a the motorcycle, can't help it. But imo her outfit should have reflected her biker girl edge more. I need a proper translation of what she's saying, half the time she sounds just like Reika in tone, but it's the tomboyish side that makes me like her more so far.

Hey, I was hoping for a cut girl, at least Mila if not Rachel. But I'll settle with her since I'm still going to need to translate her dialogue regardless (besides, as much as I prefer getting the cut girls in, after nearly a year-long drought on girls, I'll take anyone at this point. TN REALLY needs to get its act together lest the game prematurely enters EOS).

Well, either way, I too will remind them that a large portion of their funding comes from us Gaijin in addition to Japanese people, and we're paying them with the hopes that they add more of the cut girls in. May also bluntly point out that Team Ninja's Year of the Ninja marketing campaign's on-going, so I'd strongly advise bare minimum that they add Rachel sooner as opposed to later (oh, and also tell them not to dilly-dally, try to get back to actually getting a girl out within three months and NOT make us wait nearly a whole year).

But I will say this much: I'm NOT getting her until Thursday, MAYBE Wednesday at the absolute earliest (let's just say finances are requiring me to wait a bit). And I'm going to be getting her packages each pay day (with two on the final day, though I still will aim for Misaki's birthday regardless).

Technically, it's not really a roster's worth since it's five girls at most (Mila, Rachel, Christie, Lisa, and NiCO), maybe more if they give Niki a proper DOAX playable debut. But yes, it's definitely annoying that they're not releasing any cut girls right now, even moreso considering they've got a silver platter of opportunity to release at least one this year with that Year of the Ninja marketing campaign.

That said, I don't mind Azusa too much, but I am still bummed out at how they're doing it at the expense of the OGs. At least release Rachel to check off the Year of the Ninja.

Maybe the guy was mixing up DOAXVV with Prism when it comes to who's in and who's out, lol. But yeah, didn't have to think hard to notice she looked a lot like previous girls but putting them next to each other is just funny. Almost feels like pallet swapping to make new characters, the dialogue, voice, and attitude has to do most of the work... But tbf, it can be argued that Shandy would be the dark twin out of the two, lol.

One thing's for certain, it certainly won't take too much time to put a cut girl in compared to making a new girl from scratch (they'd first need to actually do designing of the girl and figure out what aspects they need to draw out regarding the character, then try to hunt down the right voice actress to convey it, and all of that. At least with cut girls, they have already established voice actors, and they only need to either port directly or at the very least tweak their already established models into the game. And the voice acting and designing of the girls will only take a couple of months at most based on the viral marketing campaign they did with Tina.). And I believe ALL the cut girls should get in, yes, that includes Mila. Even if I didn't like her, I'd still want ALL the DOA girls in, no exceptions (well, none except for explicit collaboration characters like Mai, Pai Chane, Naotora, Sarah Bryant, and Rio and/or clones like Alpha, Alpha-152, and/or Phase 4 anyways). Heck, due to Christie being a villain, I don't like her all that much, yet the fact that I'm willing to get even the likes of her into the game shows my dedication to making sure ALL the girls get in.

So hopefully they use their heads and actually do their part in promoting Year of the Ninja by adding Rachel in. And I also hope they actually get back on track to actually adding more than one girl per year (just one per year is TOO dang risky).

For the new girl's birthday, more likely than not it's going to fall on November, October, August, or maybe April worst case scenario, as those are the only months with less than three girls in there already (two for April, August, and October, one for November).
I remember the quote from the game's producer about the reason they didn't add the cut girls. Something about story.

That's what I find frustrating about modern gaming. The story limits what we can do in the game. And for this type of game, we don't need an award-winning kind of story, right? As long as our favorite characters are in the game, that's all that matters. haha

Besides, I really don't see how story is even THAT much of a problem with adding in the girls, anyways: Literally the only one with a canon love interest is Leifang and technically Hitomi (who is a starter and thus doesn't count), and they even indirectly alluded to Jann Lee in Leifang's ring episode and had a clever way to get around the whole situation. The others don't really have any issues regarding story that can prevent them from appearing, either (at least, none that pertain to canon love interests).

For Mila, aside from obviously following Tina to the island, you could easily have her decide, as a bit of a contrast to say Hitomi specifically focus on the STRENGTH portion of the Venus Festival, while just focusing enough on beauty to get through the whole thing. Heck, since Sakuta cited her fighting Zack as an excuse to bar her, just have Zack specifically suggest she go to the island to get even stronger (sort of like how he was essentially responsible for Nanami going to the island).

And for Rachel, maybe have it be a mix between Momiji, Hitomi, and even my proposed take on Mila's reasons for participating in the festival, and ALSO allude to her fiend heritage and indirectly allude to her twin sister's downfall regarding specific motivations on why she'd participate (namely, keep her fiend blood further at bay to keep her human).

For Christie, make her more of a "in love with her target" thing, and go to the island with the implied intention of investigating and if needs be assassinating the owner (you know, sort of like what Ayane and Helena's stated motives were for going to the island since they alluded to a conspiracy that required them to investigate), only to fall for him and, in a somewhat twisted form of tsundere, also toyingly consider assassinating him yet not actually going through with it. Besides, if they can add in an Oni who explicitly wanted to ENSLAVE the island's inhabitants right down to their souls when she wins the festival, I think we can handle Christie ultimately.

For Lisa, maybe have her do some research on the island regarding certain properties the island has owing to her scientific nature, maybe have her befriend Misaki due to having a similar background at Zack Island, the first one. Maybe have NiCO join up for essentially the same reason as Lisa. Who knows, maybe have her investigate the whereabouts of her mom (she DID allude to being abandoned by her, after all), and maybe even research the island regarding it having something that essentially halts aging (thus giving an in-universe reason why, despite time explicitly passing, no one seems to actually age).

If I, a mere player, could think of those aspects up as well as the actual mechanics of applying them, with little apparent issues to the story, then the guys actually RESPONSIBLE for the story most certainly could think those up.

And most of the so-called "award-winning stories" tended to be garbage, such as the later entries for Metal Gear Solid (4-V, including Peace Walker) where Kojima flat out admitted he retcons lore just to write a good story (which... betrays the entire POINT behind a good story. You can't hope to write a good story if you're going to destroy continuity and established lore in the process). Come to think of it, I'm beginning to wonder if Kojima's tendency to retcon on a whim is the reason DOAXVV is hesitant to add any characters.

@otnesse you know, I wasn't putting much thought into it and was giving them the benefit of the doubt that including them would be too hard to give them dialogue that both fits their character and background stories as well as the ridiculous premise of DOAXVV... but your suggestions for Christie and Lisa make me really believe these devs are just creatively bankrupt if they can't think of something like that... hell, just make it NON-CANON and GO WILD, seriously! smh... it's all just excuses from them, really
