Before 5, Zack was just an eccentric celebrity. He smiled once in a while but was still a badass. In 5 he was straight up a clown with a constant shit eating grin.

Zack has always been a goofy muther fucker, the only reason why it seems more like it in 5 is because the dude is literally everywhere in storymode so we just see alot more of him being...well, him. but i get the frustration with goofiness, having the one prominent black character in your game acting like a buffoon is not a good look, but TN is Japanese and therefore don't care
