At this point, I'd rather trade 2B for Hwang. This is unbelievable. If you're RETELLING a story, PUT THE CHARACTERS THAT WERE INVOLVED IN THE DAMN STORY. And lastly Inferno is the biggest waste of a character slot in history. Why put him in the game if he's NOT PLAYABLE AT ALL in tourneys or online???

I think for the first season pass they're going off of more or so popularity since it is a Japanese based game still, that's why Tira(SC3) is in. I think in the next season pass they'll throw a bone and include Hwang and Rock and other less relevant characters so that people can be happy but popular girls seems to be the focus for SP1

If you're game is RETELLING A STORY, not changing time or any loophole or something, there's no reason why characters who had no involvement in this portion of the story should be in the game before any character that was directly involved. It's like retelling Tekken but no Paul but Ling's there 1st or retelling Dead or alive but no Tina but Kokoro's there 1st. Makes no sense.

And if you add a character but say he's unplayable in tournaments or online, then there's no reason to add him to the roster in the 1st place. I'm not going to play him/her, I have no reason to. It's idiotic.

Did Hwang ever do anything important in the old SC games? Cassandra at the very least is Sophitia's sister and story-wise Sophitia is more important than Hwang. Iirc Inferno is unusable because he's overpowered. Is SCVI truly the same thing story-wise to the older SC's? It has some minor differences here and there.

There are a good couple of characters who weren't part of the original SC1 story, but still made it in: Talim(SCII), Tira(SCIII) Zasalamel(SCIII, but he gets a pass due to him living eternally already in the original timeline). I'm not saying that he won't make it in, but at this point he's probably a season pass 2 character, with other legacy characters coming alongside him, the same way they did with Tekken.

Cassandra & Amy are miles more popular than Hwang. Hwang was playable in what? SC1 & SC3? Two of the lesser played SC's compared to SC2 & SC4. Namco cares about sales. Cassandra & Amy will sell miles more than Hwang.

Amy and Cassandra made cameos in the story, it makes sense adding them to the game.

@Force_of_Nature He appeared in Soul Edge/Blade, Soul Calibur 1 and SC3, but had the moveset of a created character with one or two voice lines that only he had (these specific characters like him and Li Long were called "Bonus Characters"). There are a good couple of people who want Hwang back, but yeah, people would buy Amy and Cass far more than Hwang.
