when Julia acts like Julia she's cool with her whole one with nature shtick she's cool, but when they try to make her all hip and modern it makes me go :/
Isn't Tekken the few games that the timeline is set in the 21st century and not the 90s? Same with kof. They can have tech, it makes sense this is how she tries to connect people when it comes to wildlife. Get the young people caring, yo. I cringed when SFV did it because SF3 set after V when 3 is set in '98 specifically. Rashid had a smart phone. Tekken 3 was 2010, no? So it makes sense at this point. Unlike SFV
I'd like to remember the old Julia, the one that was mature and smart and not clumsy looking, the one that tried to solve the reforestation issue in a pretty cool way. New Julia, if I have to sum up her character in percentages, it would be like this: 20% old Julia, 25% Jaycee, 55% streamer girl. My friend likes new Julia quite a lot but I don't really dig the new her. Gameplay-wise she looks interesting though.
and even more, she got quite a lot of new moves. Negan though, that guy will be unsafe on most of his strings but he probably deals a ton of damage in exchange.
@Force_of_Nature isn't that what most new fighting game characters are these days anyway? cynically designed to lure money from lonely weebs who'll never know the touch of a woman so they dedicate themselves to virtual hotties who'll never reject them?
The last part where she goes "Stream's over!" is just super cringe least for me lol. Then the Julia fandom is all like "omg Julia personality is soo pure I love you Julia" and it's like jeebus, Julia fandom is full of flowers and sunshine. These are the type of people that will donate thousands of dollars to some random streamer girl dancing to DDR videos or playing color panels while arching their butts 4 cash KEK.
