reel talk, i've probably run into 2 ayane's since release day, so i haven't felt the power of her onlinery, i imagine, it's not too different from doa5 ayane online, where 99% of it is just gimmicks, unoptimized run away, and mashing 4p at every opportune moment
I come across Ayane, Helena and Busa more than anyone else. I rarely see NiCO, Honoka and Hitomi. I actually can't recall a time I've played against NiCO, only a few times against Honoka and the only mirrors I've had with Hitomi has been against Rikuto.
Guess it comes down to the platform. I tend to avoid the ps4.
@Camel with 2 thumbs Pretty much haha. With the exception of the beta, I've rarely encountered Ayane online. Only one good one, but yes, majority of the online Ayane play I've witnessed is: 99% gimmicks, unoptimized runaway that leads to the "I HATE TURTLING!" mentality, and mashing 4P whenever thinking they're pro at DOA6 Online.
Of course in the beta, there were only 5 characters, so for people that don't like Kasumi, Ayane was the only other waifu available. But in general, I don't run into my main too often when there's the full roster available. Go figure...
On a side note, fuck the NiCO & Honoka train online haha.
I've actually wondered if there's a soft algorithm that attempts to discourage mirror matches. I think I've bumped into maybe one or two other Nyotengus, and I have over 150 matches in ranked. I realize she's not going to be the most popular character due to being DLC and slow as fuckballs, but I still feel like I should've run into a few more here or there.
Probably the same algorithm that kept me from getting costume pattern parts for Ayane before the March 14th patch. The game knows who your most used characters are and adjusts things accordingly.
