Quick question before I’m answering yours. Are you drunk?
When I speak English I don’t have a Dutch accent. I speak with a more American accent. Deze means this in Dutch, but the pronunciation is not the same. You can add me on PS4 Onryoki-x
I'm high af. Does that count? Also, I know that Jaimy's english is pretty good the last I heard him. Also, I am genuinely curious. Everyone always says they want to learn French or Spanish or some normie shit like that. Why not Dutch? Even though I know, there's no inherent use for it since those two languages are common in many countries, so, that's where the desire comes from.
So because of that, I've never actually heard the Dutch accent, be it speaking the native tongue or other. From what I've read about NYC's history and other things. It fascinates me just how humble the Dutch tend to be.
Whenever I speak English, you can hear a Dutch accent if you listen closely. I've heard other Dutch people ask me if I'm Dutch whenever I speak English, so there's definitely an accent.
@Hold_Junkie93 Jaimy’s English is very good, but being good at a language doesn’t have a lot to do with having an accent, I hear the dutch accent instantly.
French, Spanish, Mandarin and English are the 5 most spoken languages in the world. I understand why people would like to speak a language like that because they could travel to more places. Dutch, isn’t a beautiful language, it’s quite ugly if I’m honest.
The reason you don't wanna learn Dutch is not only because there is no real reason to learn it, it's also fucking difficult. Not just that, but most Dutch people who are at least partially educated know English fairly well. I also just don't like the language.
As far as accents go, I can definitely hear a Dutch accent with most people. Then again, I'm Dutch.
Lol she's hot. So, that's why people don't care if they like it or not. Also, I think in some cartoons (Can't remember any in particular), they would make fun those old timey folk people. Some were Dutch. When I was a kid, my teachers were always impressed how I could pick up linguistics when reading sonething foreign. Cont.
The only accents that were hard to distinguish were Dutch and German. Perhaps Dutch is softer. That's probably because of they're alignment years ago nd the fact in english, Dutch means, "People" or "Nation" and was used describe both peoples. Hence Deutsch. Another weird one were Scandinavians and figuring out which were which. Modern example might be Canadians and Yanks. Canadians don't really say, "Aboot or soory"
So, you guys seem to be plentiful for other fgs I've seen. You guys do offline sets? If you ever have a tournament, it has to be called, "The Dutch Masters [Insert Year here]"
I only play with Jaimy and his sister Nikki offline, don’t really talk to the other Dutch players, nor consider them as friends. This can always change though.
