it's a 2D fighter, why would it have a block button? You block with back or down-back like pretty much every 2D fighter not named Mortal Kombat for the last near 3 decades.
Samsho is basically a giant neutral fest. There's combos but essentially is more about pressing the correct buttons at the right time. None of that "It's Mahvel Baybee!" air combo stuff you see in almost every 2D fighter. I'd recommend it.
We're in an age of fighting games where developers want people to learn fighting games. They don't realize that people that want to get good at fighting games, just do. Changing games' mechanics to the point they're almost not the same series anymore
