Like I can sit here tell you WHY the VF chars are weak (Sounds crazy, I know) to an extent when it comes to their range because they come from a game where running away is discouraged (There's select moves but they're more midrange in mind like sweeps and 66 attacks Jacky's 3K+G is ite, no one uses it) and DoA stages are huge AF but that's the only real issue besides 1/2

Their need to make reads more within their mixups, because it can be easy to not mix up enough because you're forced to play solid within their toolset. They have to attack with more purpose than DoA chars for the most part. You can, "Wing-it" but that's ignorance of the MU for peeps. There's stupid VF shit I do, no doubt. 2/2

There are downplayers, who say that the character that they main isn't really strong meanwhile they are indeed very strong just in order to brag about their achievements but in reality the opponents haven't played that character played by a good player much in order to fully know the match-up or the tools that the opponent has at disposal, or they just legit don't know, Hilda in Tag is a perfect example.

Kasumi is really strong, I always acknowledged her strengths. But I also know that she’s pretty balanced in that she’s fast and has a lot of mixup but also has weak strikes, relies on CH’s and is very unsafe.

depends on the character and how egregious the claim is; if someone tells me "Centrion from MK11 is top 5", id be like "hell yeah she's top 5!", if someone tells "Saya from Nitroplus Blasterz is top 5", i'd be like "Naw, you have bad defense and no patience", if someone tells me "Nyo from DOA6 is top 5" id just stop the convo cause clearly they're insane

Depends on the character, like there is this one person on Twitter Luca and his friend project bitch- er I mean Jill who think Nyo is a weak character... No she's not. She has everything but speed and that's to balance her, and then they call Kasumi broken... Uh no, of course you'd say that when Kasumi can shut down Nyo half the time since she's slow as hell xD and people say Marie is bad when she's not really tbh,
