I feel its all about putting things in perspective. Others experiences may be valuable, but you can only truly experience things from your own point of view.
Nah @Brute has a point. If your opinion is you think it's trash YOU think it's trash. Whatever butthurt comes there way is on them.. Grown ass men labeling you a bad guy over a video game/characters why even cares? (cheers)
@DeadlyChase You literally just explained his point better than him because I didn't think that's what he was getting at. I'm on the same wavelength there pretty much. If it was more like this, despite differences, then there'd never be two sides of an opinion, just a unique perspective. Of course if it doesn't involve morality. Problem arises with the need of validation in such beliefs.
@Hold_Junkie93 two different unique perspectives would still be two different opinions... It's like you want to find a back door to having an opinion, and when going to this back door the word opinion becomes perspective, and you want to believe it changes things.
Yes, however, attitude does change things because then it's not about expressing an opinion anymore but a radical belief being used to manipulate others. Even if 2 people happen to like the same thing. Like the whole SF players thinking they're smarter than anime players thing. Instead of them being honest about why they feel that way.
@Hold_Junkie93 what is the point of being honest about why you feel that way. You'd still sound like a loser who needs to get out more. Telling somebody why they aren't better than them because they play street fighter. Just sounds like someone who couldn't handle taking an L in a game thats not SF.
I think anyone should be able to express their opinion, without bias of course. You should also have some evidence or an explanation of sorts to back it up. This is what will be unique usually, in how it's explain rather than just blurting it out. It's just an example, an extreme, yes but one nonetheless.
For anyone wondering, I made this status because my friend doesn't like watching reviews or opinions of others when he plays or is going to buy a game. If you mention, "People say" in your opinion, he doesn't want to hear it. He wants you to be honest about how YOU feel, negative or positive. Feels like he's talking to a person instead of a drone repeating shit.
