DOA4 cast + Kasumi alpha, Raidou, 152, Genra, and Shinden? say no more

Ignoring guests, I like Momiji, Rachel, and Nyotengu in 5+6., though I've come to like Mila too out of entirely new characters. I'd probably choose DOA5U's base roster as my favorite but I could go with DOAD's too.

technically Samus was in DOA dimensions, just as a NPC

and frankly between the newcomers and guests in 5 and 6, not one of them makes me hype to play DOA, the (kinda) exceptions would be Honoka and Nyo, I like Honoka's gameplay but her characterization is annoying, with Nyo it's the opposite problem, I love her characterization but her gameplay leaves alot to be desired

in short I wouldn't miss them

That doesn't sound like much of a hot take since DOAD had every single characters that were previously from DOA1-DOA4.

A real hot take would be Me saying DOAXVV has a better character roster than DOAD, due to DOAXVV kept adding brand new characters (total of 13 & still going) plus not including the other 5 characters that weren't in DOAX3 & still not in DOAXVV.

That's not even a hot take, it is THE take. No one really felt missing in Dimensions because everyone was there lol. It kinda makes you realize how the 5 and 6 newcomers don't really add anything to the series... except Marie, she can stay lol

Kinda is a hot take though. Pitting a roster vs the other games cast members is inherently making character comparisons to a degree even if people tried their hardest not to.

Somebody has to be that guy, but Shiden/K.Alpha/Genra compared to Mai in a placed cast is like comparing an ant to an eagle (girl alone will outsell every member that were only on DOAD). Everyone knows Mai. Only DOA peeps know the others.

Mind you that it's a great roster still. Definitely has the best "quantity" of characters, more characters the better.

100% take DOAD roster over 6 any day. If I had to put my own "personal" pick, DOAD roster i'd pick over any DOA game, but technically 5 had the best one.

It's a VF character, what's there for anyone to be biased when a character like Sarah still makes a bigger salespoint than Shiden and I dislike Sarah lol. Maybe K.Alpha because booba, but Phase-4 exists now so it makes K.Alpha not very relevant at this point. Same with Hitomi vs Ein.

Actually, I honestly can't believe how little DoA fans seem to care about how VF characters, Mai, Rachel, and Momiji showed up in DoA's roster. :O No surprise I guess, since most NG fans don't even care for Rachel and Momiji being playable in NGS2. The only reason to even try the Sigma games is to play as the ladies, imo, other wise they're pointless.

I've been thinking about it more and, tbh I don't care for more Kasumi clones and Raidou should have stayed dead. It was really cool to see Genra and Shiden playable though. It was cool to see all the former bosses playable, which is the only reason I was ok with Raidou being back. As far as DOA-specific characters go it's the best, otherwise no.

@inochinagi that's quite the opposite actually. Momiji and Rachel were pretty huge on 5U release even Jacky, though the Jacky hype died down relatively fast since because it's a dude.

If anything, there isn't much DOA fans requesting characters like Shiden because well....he was just there, also a dude. Even Genra had more request which is roughly less than 20 people.
