Devil May Cry 1 remake was in the talks.

Will admit, as much as I liked RE4, I was one of the people that felt RE4 shouldn't get one lol. The regular versions still keeps up. If we were like two generations further from now, I would of asked for one maybe.

yeah, OG RE4 still holds up, Im not even the biggest fan of RE4 but even I can see that, i'd get it if they were doing a remake with better graphics smoother controls (ala Shadow of the Colossus or Demon's Souls) that'd make more sense, but ground up remake seems....unnecessary

but i'd totally be down for a DMC 1 remake, it's the one i actually like lol

For me personally, Dead Rising might be cool to see remade, it released over 15 years ago.. not that much younger than RE4. But then I'll take as many excuses as I can get to replay that game, lol. At least a remaster.

But yeah, so many other older Capcom games "needed" remakes more than RE4, like Dino Crisis, Mega Man Legends, or RE Code Veronica.

wasn't RE4 the last classic in the series? RE5 was a fun co-op experience but idk if 5 and 6 were memorable titles.

RE4 was the first big change in the series, it started the trend towards more action. It's easy to group together 1-3 and 4-6 in terms of their gameplay. RE4 was the highest rated and best selling game in the series when it released, but the fans lamenting its turn towards more action and their feeling that it was less scary was pretty loud iirc. Some ppl even missed the old tank controls of 1-3.
