    Looks like MK finally has some competition again in the Ridiculous Bloody Mess Fighting Game Genre.

    And by ex-KI devs to top it off... (makes me sad/concerned for the future of KI tho)

    Yeah, Invincible VS, a 3-on-3 tag FG by Quarter Up, ex-devs from KI2013's original team Double Helix (which has been acquired by Amazon now and have been put to work on Tony Hawk 3+4)

    just saw the trailer, look very faithful to the show, it's actually crazy how good of a fit Invincible is for a fighting game, the show/comic has ALOT of characters with varied designed and powers, but 90% of them get murked only after a few apparencies, so this will be a cool way to explore those characters

    dam, I feel like I just played this game with shadow of the ninja reborn
    Will still check out Ragebound but I guess it's a good time to be fan of pixelated 2D Ninja side scrollers with a male and female lead lol, also fun fact the male ninja in this game is called Hayate

    real talk, GitS is one of those anime I forget that it even has a manga, the original film and Stand Alone Complex dominate my view of the franchise, never saw the post SAC movies, Arise, or the netflix adaptations, and the less said about the Scarlet Johanson movie the better

    I haven't looked for them but there's real, actual Fatal Fury and SNK characters as NPCs in the backgrounds of stages for this one as usual, right? Gonna be sad seeing them back there with these guys in the forefront, smh...

    @inochinagi yeah, they weren't going to be playable if they're in the backgrounds. I predicted Raiden's return until I saw him in the wrestling stage. I even thought King has a pass, but lo and behold, she's also in the background. Now Robert and Yuri... I don't see them yet, so cross fingers!

    I really want a Switch 2, but nearly $700 here in Canada has me really holding back.. (hey, I guess at least it's like $1000+ like a PS5 Pro is here tho). And basic physical games over $100 each. Never thought I'd see the day I can't afford gaming anymore.

    The Switch 2 is a little bit of a tough sell if it's going for $650 CAD when the PS5 costs between $480-$650 CAD for the non-pro versions. I'll look over to see how it compares with a Steam Deck OLED 512GB though which sells for $689 CAD.

    The only cost efficient modern console is basically the Xbox Series S, which doesn't come with a disc drive for physical media (and doesn't allow an add-on like the PS5 digital slim).

    Play what game, Parodius? I've played a lot of different Gradius, Parodius, even Otomedius, lol. A lot of that is thanks to MAME. I'm actually sure I played Parodius Da many many years ago, cuz I remember fighting Honey Miyako (the boss who says "wow"). I gotta play it again sometime tho.

    And man, Yuko Nagashima is one of the few people I'd travel some distance for, for sure (but not to the US).

    Yeah Paradious 2. I didnt know that there was an Otomedius. That sounds like a fanservice version of the gradius series. XD

    Yeah pretty much. It has both Konami fanservice and fanservice fanservice. One of the last games Koji Igarashi produced for Konami. Sadly the latest/best version (Otomedius Excellent) is still trapped on Xbox 360, no BC and no new ports since that release.
