@ChaolanLegacy Honestly, having a few of Akira's moves would be an amazing buff. She doesn't really have a good SS because her moves out of SS are either slow or bad on NH, and her Heichu throw is risky, even though it's her best option to open up the opponent in close range.
Akira & Kokoro don't play the same way. There would be no point in giving her Akira's moves. For instance, Akira would look weird if he got Kokoro's moves and strings.
I think they both use baji quan or whatever its called (Lol me) He wouldn't look weird if he had some of kokoro's move, neither would she with some of akira's i could see kokoro doing his frame knee, and akira doing 236P of 44P
@The_King_Edo I agree with that. The animations would have to be slightly altered, though.
@Force_of_Nature A lot of Akira's moves would strongly benefit Kokoro. GBoD is a less risky way to open up blocking opponents than throwing, SS P+K is better than any of her SS options, etc.
DOA does not have GBoD's. That's a VF thing (even then, not that many VF characters have GBoD's or SPoD's). Despite both using BajiQuan, neither play the same way and aren't intended to.
GBoD is Akira's 236P+K. It's a guaranteed 80 damage if it lands on block. Only Akira has it. He has it in DoA and VF.
Kokoro and Akira have some similarities, with a focus on making the opponent scared to guard. Kokoro's heichu throw is just more risky and less rewarding than Akira's guard breaks. The move set is also strikingly similar for more reasons than just that they're both Ba Ji Quan
I know Akira has a GBoD in both games, what I was saying is that GBoD's are not the standard in VF and are essentially non-existent in DOA. Kokoro's more string heavy, where Akira is more poke heavy. Despite having the same fighting style, they don't play alike at all.
That has nothing to do with whether or not certain tools Akira has would benefit Kokoro or not. It's not like giving her a SS P+K very similar to Akira's would suddenly make her top tier; it's just make her better without much altering the way she works.
But they do play alike, are you talking about in fighting style or people playing the character? I can honestly say some of akira's and kokoro's moves look alike lol
The thought pattern behind them is different. You normally don't poke a lot at close range with Kokoro. You also normally don't hang out around mid screen and whiff punish / counterpoke with Akira.
I don't think anyone wanted them to play the same way. That would be redundant. Just some similar moves worked around to fit Kokoro, not a copy and paste.
