It might be biased because of childhood nostalgia, but DOA2 for me in terms of atmosphere (story, music, costumes, voices). But if I'm objective and despite some well-known issues, I would say DOA5 is my favourite game in terms of gameplay and diversity.

I'd have to say that DOAX2 is my favorite DOA in terms of atmosphere. The game had some really good music and was generally really fun to play.

DOA5LR: Overall mechanics, roster, graphics, costumes and general features such as access to the music from previous entries. Nostalgic favourite: DOA2. First time DOA looked genuinely amazing for its time.
