DOA6 helped me to discover that I occasionally enjoy cross-dressing. Not just any video game can do something like that, and I think that definitely counts for something.
Koei Tecmo is made up of six small, but talented divisions (Gust, Kou Shibusawa, Midas, Omega Force, Ruby Party, Team NINJA) and I wanted to create a quick news reference thread that covers all the current company news within Koei Tecmo and all of their development teams. This should allow...
When I joined Free Step Dodge, it was because I had made the assessment that it contained the most forward-thinking and welcoming segment of the DOA community. I am very pleased to say that this still holds true, and I am glad to be here.
But it's also true that the "DOA Community" as a whole has been, in my experience, the least welcoming online community I've ever been a part of.
Found out recently that there were English voice lines recorded for DOA6's unused Tag Mode - so I started a new channel and made a video about it! Give it a watch here, and subscribe if you're interested:
I heard that the Road Rage stage in DOA6 may actually be based off of a real location somewhere in the Midwestern United States. Does anyone know where it might be?
It looks like it might even be set somewhere in the Detroit metropolitan area - possibly close to where I live.
The time has come to share my NiCO Move Translation spreadsheet. It contains English translations of NiCO's move names, as well as frame speeds and area of effect. It also contains commentary, explaining the significance of the names. I may add more info to the doc in the future.

I've got some pictures of my latest cosplay - this time it's NiCO's School Uniform! I think I might actually be the first person (on the internet at least) to cosplay this particular outfit of NiCO.
All of the move translations have now been completed. Decided to go all out and document the frame data for every move as well - in the process of doing this I've also recorded footage for a potential video accompaniment. Everything is currently being compiled into an Excel spreadsheet - I'll see if I can add this data to the wiki once finished.
Currently working on translating NiCO's move list from the Official Japanese DOA6 site (https://www.gamecity.ne.jp/doa6/characters.html). Many of NiCO's special moves actually have official names - usually blending physics-related terminology with Indonesian Silat terms. I'm planning to compile the translated move names into a full list and/or video when I'm done.
I find it odd when people say the inputs in DOA are "easy". DOA6 is my first FG, and I've had to put a considerable amount of effort into re-training my mind and hands over the past year - I still feel like there's room to improve my consistency at performing basic 236-related moves even. Any advice on how to improve at executing long combo strings?
I was finally able to get some pictures of my new NiCO cosplay this week (I'd been planning this for the past four months or so lol). I'm really pleased with the results - more pictures coming soon to my Twitter!
