There are means to make a character model look attractive without having the need to strip them down in strings & straps. TN has flawlessly done it for the most part (model-wise) but they just couldn't let go of the habit due to the "cultural sensibilities" excuse.

This makes me miss their old costume selections more (specifically 2/2U). 5U wardrobe has less likable and unique choices out of their 30+ outfits.

I think the problem lies more on the costume selection rather than herself. Apart from black and whites, personally, I think purple looks good on her since her eye color has a deep, smoky bluish-purple shade.
