Honestly, if we can get a VF6 with around DOA6-ish caliber visuals, and maybe more stuns or hit/impact types, etc., along with a quality a story mode (doesn't quite have to be MK11/MK1 or SF6 quality, just something coherent for story background), then VF6 could hit it off if given a chance.

The Game Awards is a joke really. Resident Evil 4 & Spiderman 2 got snubbed in everything for instance. At least FF16 won best score, and Hi-Fi Rush won best sound design.

Do you know how off-putting it is to boot up a fully priced game with 10+ DLC character slots for instance? If I weren't into fighting games already, it would've discouraged me from the genre.

TN needed to promote the free-to-play offerings more if they were to go heavy on the DLC promotion. I agree that FG's are in an awful spot where they're essentially fully priced games with basically expected $40+ season passes at this point. It's a catch-22 level deterrent from attracting more...

^ This. DOA5ULR/6 actually did it right by having a free-to-play core fighters version, however, TN can't seem to market DOA properly to save their lives. Promoting the $93 season passes early on for DOA5LR & DOA6 were terrible moves PR-wise. The average mainstream gamer thinks that DOA5LR/DOA6...

This just furthers my belief that SEGA will never release VF6 (and if it exists: not outside Japan). Bro sounded irate, and I get his perspective, Tekken does so well because it has no competition in the 3D fighter niche.

MK1 over SF6 is laughable. Game awards are accustomed to awarding MK or Injustice over more legitimate fighting games. And I actually like MK games for what they are.

Thanks, it was fun. I think it's the peak of Playstation's cinematic third-person action-adventure formula easily. Much better than God of War Ragnarok.
