It's official: FF VII Remake Pt 1's entering my personal GOAT status list. This game's absolute fire. Bomb soundtrack, fun battles, sense of progression. Some of the most fun I had in a single player in a while.
Maybe it's me, but the more I play games like FF, KH, 2k, etc though the situation's dire, the good moments (Not epic action scenes), I kinda wish I could experience in real life for myself. Kinda depresses me in a way.
Thinking about getting an obsidian, if it has a circular gate, to test & see if movement would work better for me w/ a circular gate rather than square. Or I can wait for the Hitbox Crossup. Any recommendations?
Tamaki's S to me. And lastly some characters are pretty unexplored for me: Mai, Kula, & Momiji to name a couple so after a month or so, this beta list will very likely change.
A: Well balanced. Can definitely have a say so in regards to MU's but not to the extreme of S or SS. B: Average. Decent fundamentally or has good tools. But high flaws keep them from A. C: Meh. Not much going for them. Have to put a lot of work in to get started.
I'll explain my placements for now: SS: Really solid. Can play any style of DOA & it works. So well rounded. Very few, if any flaws. Very high reward as well. S: Solid. Really good at one thing or well rounded but not to the point of SS.
As the games promote that YOLO, flowchart, autopilot-type of gameplay, unless I'm playing a high-level set. But it's whatever at this point. Idk when another DOA's coming. No VF. Tekken's doing another season likely which I'm pessimistic about.
Just hopped off Tekken where I'm playing a orange rank Kazuya and the dude's main go to moves was w/r 2 which is -18 on block. Like it's that kind of play that improves absolutely no one and once that Kazuya dies, he'll hop off send salty messages and learn nothing about fundamental tekken.
And I don't play 2d's or anime fighters so my options are limited to Tekken, DOA, or SC. And I like both games enough to try to dedicate myself to both but at the same time, the changes made to suit casuals and suit more YOLO offense is infuriating.
It's not over one fitting a criteria. It's about one game basically ending after a year and it becoming a complete mess and the other progressively getting worse, despite the changes it did in a way to help improve players.
Both games turn to YOLO offense that reward no one as there's no thought or adjustment that betters a player. Just, I need a stun or I need a CH launcher and hope you don't die for it.
Until Claudio plays Dragunov or whoever and because they're much better fundamentally, the Claudio dies and the player drops Tekken for some random game.
Tekken's not absolved either. I can't tell how many times I fight for example a Claudio and as I try to condition someone by pokes and movement a YOLO hopkick that's only like -13 hits and I die cause of a move that's low-medium risk but very high reward and it promotes more YOLO offense.
Or what about a situation where I'm fighting a i9 and they do jab to throw and because there's no throw break system in place at all, then that becomes a mix-up that either leads to more pressure or a throw to the environment where I die yet again because either I get hit by a delayed string or...
thrown or hit into the barrels and explosives and die because there's no stagger escape or any reward defensive unless I do a YOLO move that ends up putting me in a worse situation if blocked.
