I just think it is best that players have a brand new start with Doa5 without any type of expectations due to playing either other games in the series or VF5. Doa5 plays like none of them(individually), but plays like all of them at the same time.
Many moves being negative on block = Doa2U...
-Not necessarily. Considering Bayman, LeiFang and Busa are the only characters with Advanced holds that would make an Akira player think twice. Otherwise it would not be worth the effort of holding. Especially with the safer Side Stepping system.
I have to say that Doa3.1 set the Bar really high for the series. Just like TK3 and VF4 set the bar high for their respective series. Are the new games in those series bad? No, but they did not meet fan expectations. Doa5 will more than likely follow this fate. It will be a good game that simply...
-Thanks, I was glad to do it. I love DoA, and it is my favourite fighting game series along with the VF.
-That is what its all about. Coming together, playing and enjoying our game!
-Thank you! If I go by my hunches...which are usually correct, DoA5 will be a brilliant fighter! I know this...
I'm really not quite happy with Tina this time around, but maybe it has to do with many of her Changes(That I will post in detail come game release) That I am not used to. Have to reinvent my play style with her.
Im sticking with My Tina. Have to re-invent her. Lei fang plays like her 3.1 Counter part...love that :K::2::k: is back to its old status. Pai, well that's my baby she will be my 3rd Character.
Using her sabaki stops both mid :k: and mid :p:. So compared to a hold, there is less guessing involved. Also, a whiffed hold results in you being vulnerable for 30 frames, while a non successful sabaki still result in an attack. So there is still differences and advantages for using either.
