Sounds like he feels that DOA5's approach to becoming more competitively viable in the gameplay department somehow alienated casual fans. I hope I'm misinterpreting that, because such an argument would be stupid as all hell. But alas, I am a pessimist with a convincing track record.

While it's fun hearing Itagaki get back into his controversial blunt mode, I would like to hear him acknowledge what DOA5 did right, because it did do a lot of things right (mostly related to gameplay). Sadly, I don't think he's capable of that, but it would be nice to see.
