Just tested it. My brother had only beaten Chapter 1, but I could join him in online co-op during his first playthroughs during all Chapter 2 missions (I had beaten all missions in the game on my own). So, yeah. Co-op on first playthroughs is a thing.

So question, when you have your Attack stat with a character as 999, do weapon mods like "Brawn" and "Courage" still stack on top of that base damage, or are they useless since your damage output is capped to the maximum by default?
