Yeah the later bits of the game felt rushed, it's almost as if finding their past was incredibly lacking. It was definitely worth the full price though in my opinion ahaha.

Especially Yakumo. That NPC can practically help you through 70% of the game because he hits like a truck. The moment he goes missing, players go "Ahaha silly boss, my friend Yakumo ca- *sees he's missing*.......holy shit I have to do mechanics???". I do miss Code Vein, I should go do a 2nd NG+...
