*sigh* I was hopeful that the recovery time for counters would be longer than this. It's a simple fix that takes care of a lot of DOA players' concerns. But, it's still not the same as DOA4 regardless of how many times people say it is. There are different mechanics and some things have been fixed.

Helena. She's not the generic "I have to do _____ for my honor" or "I'm a cute little polite girl who wishes to help everyone!" type of character we always tend to see. She's pissed off at the world and doesn't care who she kills, but she's not evil nor good. She's a neutral (and beautiful)...

I really enjoyed dimensions. Sure, it wasn't the best thing ever, but for a handheld fighter, it did quite a bit right. The characters were more balanced, counters lost a liiiittle bit of effectiveness, new juggle opportunities, a few new moves and some new characters. I prefer how dimensions...

A character is only broken when they suck so much that they can't realistically compete with the rest of the cast, or vise versa (the rest of the cast can't realistically compete with them). Jann isn't broken - he's just good.

I.E. 2 is down, 6 is right, 7 is up, 3 is down-forward. Depending on their relation to the 5 key is the direction they are referencing.

@onelasttime. Those numbers are a reference to your keyboard's number pad. if we consider 5 neutral, the other numbers are directions

Soooo slight aesthetic changes and some verbal ones ruined the character for you? I would have thought a player would be more concerned about their character's moves than little things like pants and "WATAAAAH!"s.

I guess it's a preference thing (: he had more useful launchers as well as useful moves during back-turned, so I had some fun with those mix-ups =P

I know it would likely not play like it, but the game looks awfully similar to Small Arms for some reason

Unlockable characters shouldn't matter if they have a part in the game canon wise. The story mode need merely revolve around the still important characters. Like I said in a different topic, yeah - Ein, Tengu, Gen and Leon have no more purpose in the story, but that's different from just being...
