Looking for people who still play DOAD

Alright, I have you added (: By the way - Blackburry, did you download Swapnote? It's convenient for people to message each other xD I figure you should send me a message on it and let me know when you can play =P

    [Aug 25, 2012] GVN Summer Jam VI - Aug 25 & 26 - Philly,PA (Philadelphia, PA)

Well quick question, then. For the DOA special event, will it be ongoing over the two days, or just in one?

    [Aug 25, 2012] GVN Summer Jam VI - Aug 25 & 26 - Philly,PA (Philadelphia, PA)

Huh, turns out it's only an hour and a half away...this could be fun. Money isn't an issue, but I'm not sure if I'd care to spend around 80 dollars just to go. I'll be thinking about this, I guess.

New to FSD? Introduce yourself here.

I think English is fairly complex. You're looking at one aspect of a language when, to truly determine which is likely to be more difficult, you'd have to think about everything. Just for a small example, pronunciation is key when speaking English. Words that are spelled exactly the same often...

New to FSD? Introduce yourself here.

Yeah, our school only offered French and Spanish; no alternatives. It started in 7th grade, mandatory to take up until the end of 9th. Everything proceeding that was voluntary. Next, when I moved to a different state, that school offered, I believe, 15 different languages. *sigh* how I wish we...

    DOA: Flaws and Tournament Viability

Clarification is key. So long as you're being honest with what you say your words actually meant, then I have nothing else to add to the matter.

    DOA: Flaws and Tournament Viability

Unless I read that wrong, you're contradicting what you've just said. So you "separate [yourself] from that class" because of what, then? I'm not saying you dislike me, but you seem to have a strong bias against online players. Correct me if I'm wrong. Where did I say I was discriminated...

    DOA: Flaws and Tournament Viability

I think it's the reverse - well, sometimes. I've see more offline players with act out of hubris than online. Sure, there are numerous trolls and jackasses online, but when pooled together, I'd wager the percentages are less than that of offline players who do the same things. I just think the...

    DOA: Flaws and Tournament Viability

I gotta admit, that's true to an extent. From this site and a few others, I've noticed that some people tend to dismiss those who haven't played offline at tournaments or something. Sort of like playing offline with another member somewhere gives extra credence to your words where if you mostly...

    DOA: Flaws and Tournament Viability

As a side note, I think people see "guessing" in the wrong light. Not that players don't guess at things, but more or less, good players try to think about what's likely to come at them as apposed to just hitting a random counter (though that was a common theme of DOA4 - low counters anyone?)...

    DOA: Flaws and Tournament Viability

Well, not ALL of the changes will turn it into Tekken, but I agree to an extent. Eventually, if some people got what they desired, DOA would just be the same as the other fighters just with different skins and different fighting styles.

    DOA: Flaws and Tournament Viability

If you don't intend on supporting the game, then why even bother logging onto these forums? Just to complain about what you don't like?

    Best Childhood games..

I would have to say Wild Arms, Yoshi's Island, Vectorman, Rocket Knight Adventures and Pokemon were my favorite childhood games.

    Dealing with projectiles

If you don't feel comfortable countering his projectile due to the lag experienced online, I recommend simply standing your ground when you have more health. The good thing is that you can shake the stun it causes, which would normally guarantee a free 66K on Ryu's part. Keep your distance and...

    DOA: Flaws and Tournament Viability

Who said I was saying anything "more factual"? Please read. Saying we see the facts differently meant we all see them, but they mean different things to us.

    DOA: Flaws and Tournament Viability

I suppose I'm just debating something pointless. Not that I didn't enjoy it, but we're caught in a position where gameplay preference defines how we see the facts. I see your points, but I enjoy additional mindgames (: Now, you said everything is delay-able. THAT certainly doesn't sit well with...

    DOA: Flaws and Tournament Viability

I know - I've already said they could just do that and fix this complaint you all have. Still, I don't understand why you think delays are not beneficial. I don't know if you're exaggerating to make a point or not, but I'd think you would understand that adding another mindgame (delayed or...
