I mean, it's been noted here and there from even other studios that making everything too easy just leads a game into clunk zone (which has been proven from ancient fighting games). There are some things that could be made easier for FGs game obviously such as move bufferings in heavy fighters...

For DOA6's case it varies. There are some good things about it as well as bad things. There is no sense of achievement if you are not "truly" outplaying your opponent. This like connect four vs chess, you get more bang and sense of victory if you win a chess match compared to connect four.

Sometimes easy leads to a clunkiness game, which is not even a good thing even if it's aesthetically appealing, there is no heart behind it. There are things in a game that puts you into a commitment to enjoy a game, making it too easy will reduce the pathway and creates a habit of people to get...

@KasumiLover That depends. It's just a moment of consistency. Not every single aspect has to be made easier because it leads to catering to things that shouldn't be catered for, like some games, it leads to a split. One thing easy for one person has a varied effect to make it harder for the next...

You have the crowd playing the character. That's all you need (well, unsure for Smash standards, but you get huge rep playing him in general in any game he gets introduced in).

@Onryoki VF characters has nothing to do with this. Sega layed the foundation to how a 3D game should work from AM2 (throw breaks, abare with strong neutral applied to frame traps etc.) so they most definitely can, Sega aren't even doing anything at the moment so it might as well be better to...
