I'll try AK then. My first gut instinct was Bryan, but his method of damage acquisition seems...... awkward.

Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate General Discussion

I wouldn't count on being able to read tracks from the hard drive. That would be a great feature, though.

Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate Demo Kiosks in Japan

That could potentially be true.... but maybe not. He is RIGHT on them after a ground throw and that's a lot of ground to cover. I hope you're right. It's definitely something I will experiment with.

Not really. The damage is comparable, apart from Bayman's forward roll into ground throw which does substantially more but is super situational. Aside from that one example, Tina's are actually better. Why? For example, most of her ground throws can be done from whiff punishment situations off...

"Do you like Pain?" DOA5U changes

Ground slam attacks in general have been changed so that they don't give enough advantage for FT. They still give enough for ground throws. This should cripple characters like Helena, however. That could be considered a stealth buff, in some ways. At least, for me. Heh.

    Ask me anything.

Assuming "chuck" is derivative of "throw", we can assume that the woodchuck himself would be doing less in the way of chucking and more in the way of chucked.

It's much more likely that these FT situations are replicated by the same gameplay mechanic changes that took place in the original 1.03 patch (you remember, the glitchy one on PSN that everybody loved?). If you folks recall, FT's in general got removed off of ground slam attacks. They did...

Force Tech. Not pick up. I don't know why you guys keep pulling stuff out of thin air. I'd like very much to talk with the guy making these claims, because everything I've heard states otherwise.

    Competitive balance: DOA5U mechanics changes

It's a fun idea but that isn't something that is going to happen. You are better off fighting a different battle.

    Competitive balance: DOA5U mechanics changes

Everyone should know my stance on things by now. Smaller hold damage, smaller lifebar in general. A few specific throws could do with a damage nerf if the lifebar is reduced (I'm looking at Alpha), but definitely not all of them. I prefer seeing damage done by strikes. They are more satisfying...

Your top 3 top players !

I don't believe in ranking players based on personal preference. That seems like it just pisses all over the concept of tournament results. I'm not saying I don't have "favorites", though.

    Competitive balance: DOA5U mechanics changes

I would prefer there be less of them, and they became catch throws. I feel too many characters have them. It should be a very character-specific thing. On dragon gunner, it makes sense. On Bayman's moves, it makes sense. For Bass to have one or two, it makes sense. For everyone and their...

I am safer in DOA 5 than I was in 3.1, actually.

Do what I usually do. Not play the game at all casually, then show up to tournaments and wreck everybody.

DOA 4 did that and it was terrible. This is not something everyone should have.
