agreed, VF5:FS is my favorite fighter, it would just be much easier to excel at defense offline with proper technique. Fuzzy guarding, TE, TE+evade, and utilizing dashing/spacing properly are fundamentals that I have learned, but not to the level of crushing scrubs online the way I should.

    PS4 revealed

everything at the PS meeting was running in real time...no more b/s like e3 2005, Sony has learned. PS4 is basically an off-shelf closed PC with fast ram...It'll be a beast I'm not liking all the Kinect rumors about the next Box, so hopefully it's all BS and MS will release an equal or more...

I stop playing the game months ago, was getting pretty high up in rank, but it was just becoming a combo fest online...and you have to go and study each character heavily to learn there "tricks". Goh/Shun/Pai etc....all have these one hit-kill combos and it's a pain in the arse to defend online...

tks for all the vids guys, really helping me understand the game better. After a bit of reading about the basics, I blasted to Defender and Veteran Rank on PSN, but since then, I've been bouncing up and down in the same bracket, and it has been really discouraging. You know that feeling you have...

I want to learn her just to be able to defend against her well, but tbh, I actually hate her. She's very quick/nimble and seriously has a counter for everything. Quite irritating if your oppoenent has some of your character's strings memorized. Main Jean and Lion and good Aoi eat my Jean up...

The official Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown thread

Ok...find my 2 mains, Jean, and Lion...Lion seems to be a little more work as his combos are bit more technical/counter hit based and overall is just a high-low mixup character I think, were Jean is very defensive oriented and a heavy punisher with nice one-two combos. Made my way up with the...

yeah, I'm going to assume that's the way to dodge some of the attacks I've been getting hit with It seems like I see em' coming, but still get hit. Or it could just be me thinking that I'm blocking because I'm holding back (SF4) dunno yet, but evade seems 50/50 sometimes unless you know the...

Top 5 favorite fighting game characters

Ken (SF) Lion (VF) Mitsirugi (SC) Don't really have 5...hmm, I guess honorable mentions are Jacky (VF) and Kilik (SC), but certainly not my favorites. But yeah, I'm a Kenaholic'-) I wish I could play him in every game, probably the reason I like Lion & Jacky, similar to Ken is certain ways.

Hello fellow gamers...stumbled across this site at work after searching for some VF5:FS advice...this is the only place not blocked I guess because there isn't a "red-alert" word in the website lol...so tks for allowing me to forum lurk at work! about me? umm..I'm from Jersey, I love gaming...

Love this game, but after getting to 2nd Dan, starting to get beat a little too often. I main Lion, will pick up Jacky/Lau (wish I had the skill to play Akira effectively) but man, I really seem to be losing to Derpness. Wolf running around during that stupid rush move, getting hit on wakeup...
