One may come from the other, but I find both styles, signature moves, and characters completely different. Plus, how many versions of Ninjutsu are in DOA?
Now all you have to do is convince a developer to agree with you instead of picking readily available styles that are much
more visually distinct. You'd probably see another JKD character in DOA before a Wing Chun one. And if you did get a "Wing Chun" character in
name, the addition of kicks above the waist they'd need to add would make it, in effect, look like another form of JF JKD.
And using the number of ninja characters in a Team Ninja game to support your case is sort of head scratching. You'd have a better point with professional wrestlers. But again, there's a reason we have American strong style, puroresu, and lucha libre instead of greco-roman, freestyle, and catch wrestling (all of which have been incorporated into the previously mentioned styles).
