Crap Tier

Why? Tier lists are literally just information on characters. Just play who you like don't worry about tiers.

Well part of the reason that I do it, is for variety. It gets very stale seeing the same high tier characters all the time, and never seeing the low tier ones. I like to mix it up, and give the bad characters some... attention, if you will. Plus it's much more satisfying to win with Tengu, than it is to win with Hayabusa.

that part is most definitely true. i miss my arcade days when i would trash Rugal spammers with an vanilla Orochi team in KOF2k2. Shermie is horrendously underrated

really? tiers were never really something i payed attention to, and Ayane was a VERY hard character to play with. I also NEVER hear anybody on FSD discussing her in the same fan-capacity characters like Christie/Kasumi/Leifang/Tina/Bayman/Busa get, so i assumed she was not that popular

In my experience, Ayane has always been extremely popular. Online in DOA4, all you ever see are the ninjas. I'm pretty sure that all of the ninjas are considered very easy to use too, though I could be wrong.

lol, i had a shitty hard time getting Ayane to a level where i could consistently win. though i have never played online so im basing my assumptions only on what people on FSD have been saying

It wouldnt matter to me. I will play with, AND try to master all characters, I like variety and I have always been like that since I started playing fighting games, which I started playing at 3 years old lol. I think every character is a equal in some odd shape or fashion...

In DOA2 Ayane is considered, what, the best character behind Tengu? In DOA3 she's garbage tier. In DOA4 she's high tier. Of the four ninjas shes the hardest to learn to play, but she is a good character regardless. Not many better than her. Why is a win with Tengu more satisfying than with Hayabusa? Ya know whats really satisfying? A win that gets you money.

No on all 3 counts.

I'm gonna give my main character Kasumi a set amount of time to determine whether she is actually viable or not. If I find that she isn't I am probably going to make a switch. Not trying to be a hero.. >_>

Now that we know Helena is in, all three of the characters I normally play are in (Leifang, Hitomi & Helena). Occasionally I'll experiment with Kokoro in DOA 4, and I'll do the same in 5, adding Sarah (and Pai if she's added like we're expecting).

Ein is actually the best after Tengu.

Unholdable mid kick launcher ftw.

My bad, I missed it by one spot. I put the question mark because I was pretty sure there was someone else there but I knew she was right the fuck up there.

Edit: I just looked to confirm
DOA2: Top Tier
DOA3: Couldn't find it but last I saw, she wasn't great.
DOA4: High Tier

So what account was I wrong in Raansu? Suck it!

WELL, This would not be much of a problem if all the characters have plenty(10-15 per character) of safe attacks on block(-5 to +3), a decent amount of un-holdable/shakable stuns(limbo/sit down) that can be followed up with a guaranteed attack(s), and Critical bursts that can be reached with a maximum of 2-3 hits in stun. So, the character that would be considered bottom, dirt, crap tier will still be tournament viable and still be able to compete with those in the top. In other words, the differences between top and bottom should be miniscule.
