DARK SOULS

Here is a little trick to farm up enough souls to get stats up for 1 handed:
Climb up the undead burg bonfire ladder. Go up the stairs unto the top of the bridge where the hellkite is. Aggro him and run back down the stairs, towards the bonfire. The Hellkite kills the (5) hollows for you while you are on your way to reset them at the bonfire. Rinse and repeat for a bit so that you can level your stats.
AWESOME! just one question. Whathe hellkite? Is it that knight with the red cape?

Having alot of fun with Dark souls 2 love double ultra GS power stance

There is a great spot to farm souls in this game is could be considered broken if you think about it. Id say beat the game first before doing this.

Spoilers so click at your own risk.

Okay so, this is pretty much near the end of the game. Once you obtain the kings ring, its time to take your ass up to the Dragon shrine and obtain the ashen mist heart. The mist heart is used for being able to enter the memory of the giants you see around the game. The one that's best for farming is the Memory of jeigh this memory contains The last giant boss, the best farming place in the whole game. this boss is a pushover and easy as shit.

Major tip to endlessly grinding this for souls, when you enter this memory after you go to through the mist gate, go to the left and up the stair there will be a bonfire ascetic this is the key to never losing a ascetic and having infinite numbers of resets.

Tips fighting this boss. ALWAYS stay to the outer left side of his foot at the centre basically, he will never be able to hit you, he has a stomp move thats the move you have to doge but its so slow and easy to see you will be dodging with flying colours. rinse and repeat the boss will die in no time flat, once you beat him return to the nearest bonfire which is 2 feet away and use a bonfire astetic which resets the boss (warning this puts the boss into NG+ mode, meaning its harder more health, and mor importantly more souls. As far as I know the game goes up to NG+8 so keep that in mind when you reset a boss. It will carry over to the next playthrough.) then go back into the memory get the ascetic beat the boss and the same again.

Tip: just below the Giant memory thing is a some twinkle titanite so this is great place for endless amounts of that if you need it too, ascetic reset items so you got endless amounts now

At New Game +8.
and Covetous silver serpent ring + 2 ( increases souls)
and Tseldora amour Set (increases souls) The easiest way to get this amour set is killing the merchant in majula on the left shop as he gives the set. only kill the npcs if you are starting a new game + so they will return to life.

You will be obtaining 470k souls each time the boss is killed. I can kill the boss in under 2 or 3 mintutes. its easy and fast.

another note, every time you kill the boss you will obtain his soul which is another 25k souls if used I believe so yeah. best soul farming so far in this game.

Also this map is useful for people who get stuck can be considered spoilers so click if you wish

The Bonfire Ascetic respawns, eh? Interesting.

Anyway, I think I'm abnormally high leveled for where I am in the game since I've been using the Silver Covetous Ring +1 basically the entire time. Still haven't beaten my first playthrough, though.

I'm fucking around in the Shaded Forest right now. I just found that Scorpion dude behind the giant tree-frog fucker.

Oh, THAT dude. He is an old friend ;)

Another farming method is also in the endgame (the crypt) where the pyromancers infinitely spawn from the tombstones. This method is slower but does not rely on ascetics: if you have spells, you can oneshot the pyromancers for the most part. All you have to do is walk up next to a tombstone, spawn a pyromancer, quickly run back, attack with a spell, rinse and repeat. There is a bonfire behind a hidden wall that can be used to restock on any needer spell charges. Each kill gives 800 souls a pop, or 1200 via an ascetic.

I love Dark Souls. I fucking destroy that game. I still play the original because I keep getting new ideas for character builds and challenges. If anyone needs help with the original Dark Souls, I'm your man! #FuckingBragAboutIt

I also have DS2 but my knowledge is pretty (read: very) limited on that game.

Also, farming for a stone greatsword at the start of the game is quite the hassle. Don't ask me why I wanted a stone greatsword.

I ran a Longsword throughout just about the entire game (lol strength build with one handers). Eventually enchanted it with lightning after becoming a Sunbro and worked on building faith to use the Sunlight Spear miracle. Right now my boss methods are to just throw lightning for days (13 Lightning Spears, 20 Great Lightning Spears, 4 Sunlight Spears, 5 Heavenly Thunders).

In DS1 I had gone with a Strength/Dexterity Pyromancer build and acually used greatswords and had enough faith to use Homeward. Actually ran with Artorias Greatsword (uncursed) but switched to the Abyss Greatsword when I got that (motherfuckering jump).

Only one more play through for platinum there because Sif has to be a bitch and be able to produce 3 weapons from his soul.

That might be one of the dumbest achievements ever. Especially for people who mostly create character builds and do PvP, I mostly don't roll any farther than NG+. Not to mention the weapons from Sifs soul aren't even that great.

At least you already have all your OP stuff from NG when you enter NG+.

My tactic is to kill bastards with my bastard sword and kill Heide Knights with my heide knight sword.

Oh, and every once in a while I had back to the Forest of the Fallen Giants just to shit on the Pursuers grave because I fucking hate that guy so much I can't even.

I can't wait to finish dark souls 1, so I can play #2

I've figured out that every skill will make you very powerful somehow (resistance being an exception I guess?) Especially in NG+.

Oh and don't even get me started on the weapon upgrade system that lets you have a +15 weapon before Anor Londo.

It was patched out ages ago. Dragon head with either Chloranthy Ring or Grass Shield, face away from camera, breath fire and turn to face camera while hitting down on dpad to select a soul and holding it will activate/consume souls and add them to your numbers as long as you hold the activation button as long as they are the only thing available (no other items aside from the Dragon head or they are consumed as well).
