You must be in human form.

I'm always a hollow. I never see summon signs.

Before CyberEvil's ring tip I was too scared to try using the Rings of Protection before, was afraid of them breaking and being unusable anymore. 3000 souls to repair one of them is chump change and worth a trip back to Majula to repair.

Any time I die I just travel from the bonfire I spawn at to Majula, repair, then go right back in. Costs me all of a minute on PC.

Just bought Dark souls 2 Thanks @His Reverence

Hey man, still got that DLC content to get through...along with many other secrets to discovervin DS1. Again, DLC bosses are incredible.

Don't dive into DS2 unless you experienced everything in the first. Make sure ypu got all of your lore down from the first. DS2 lore is magnified if you are prepared!

Had a very productive night in DS2. Lit two primal bonfires, found a new Sorcerer staff (Witch Tree Branch or something similar) which I promptly pumped up to +10 since I found a good place to farm the Titanite I needed all the way up til the Slab which I had since the beginning of the game (Petrified Something trade I think). I'm doing much more damage with spells now and even have some solid pyromancy in case I need it.

Not too sure where to go next but I'm enjoying bumbling around and accidentally killing bosses.

In Medula, between the Cat and the Blacksmith is a pathway which has that "contraption." If you exhausted Licia's dialogue after beating the Dragonrider boss, she should be there. Offer her 2K souls and she will open up ypur next pathway.

Did that way earlier. I've been to a ton of areas including the Huntsmans Copse and what comes after. Need to go through the Iron Keep next since I haven't finished it, I believe.
