Please don't be too picky. Us cosplayers spend a bunch of time and effort into making these costumes KNOWING that we are not always going to be able to do exact cosplays. By your logic, "I'd like to see an actual [female]" cosplay of Sailor Moon. I cosplayed Kokoro and I'm not Japanese either. If you want some actual Swedish girl to do it, go find one and pay her to do it then. Otherwise, stop wishing for cosplayers to try and get everything on point- it is, quite literally, impossible and thus those are very unrealistic expectations. The Marie Rose cosplay is very well done- how do you think she's going to feel when she sees someone wishing that another person who was actually Swedish cosplayed the character she spent hours working on her costume for? I know that we all have freedom of speech, but as a fellow DoA cosplayer, I ask for you to please be respectful to not only this lovely lady, but also to all cosplayers who are not being dickheads online . Thank you.

Besides, Marie Rose speaks Japanese or English (in an American accent). She has no backstory that ties her to Sweden, nor does she have any personality traits I can identify that make her "culturally Swedish."
My guess is that TN just made a token loli, when "Hm, what's a country that's stereotyped for having white-skinned, blonde-haired, blue-eyed people that we haven't used already? Sweden? Yeah, okay. That's fine," and then wrote it off and called it a day.
Her nationality is of such minuscule importance, I wouldn't even pay it much attention, tbh.

There's probably a good reason why you don't see too many convincing MR's. For example, my cousin looks near identical to MR if she was a real person. She's also 11 years old...
