*someone posted the link on ninja archives so I thought I would share with you guys

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/ni...s-a-new-logo-2014-reveal-teased/1100-6418583/

"Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive veteran designer Tomonobu Itagaki's upcoming action game Devil's Third is poised for a comeback. The developer today shared a new logo for the game on his Facebook page and said the game will finally be officially (re)-revealed later this year.

Itagaki left Team Ninja in 2008 and later established Valhalla Game Studios with other veterans of the Ninja Gaiden developer. The studio announced Devil's Third in 2010 at which time THQ was expected to publish the game.

After THQ went bankrupt in 2012, the game's fate was left in the balance. However, Itagaki reclaimed the Devil's Third rights from THQ and said late last year that the game was 80 percent complete and on schedule for a release in 2014. The game was at one point scheduled for release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, though it's unclear if the game has shifted to new consoles like the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, or Wii U.

Valhalla Game Studios has major plans for the game, as it expects to expand the Devil's Third property into other forms of media, including manga, novels, animation, and film, in an effort to spin the fiction into a "blockbuster franchise."

It remains to be seen how Devil's Third will come to market. For more on Devil's Third, which Itagaki believes will "surprise" people, check out GameSpot's previous coverage."

Moved to General. Saw this yesterday and I'm at least casually interested.

They make different types of games. Devil's Third will be a completely different kind of action game. Itagaki won't try to make a spiritual successor to Ninja Gaiden but whatever he makes will likely be a great deal of fun to play. Think the Call of Duty creators making Titanfall as a similar situation. It's easy to draw parallels at the surface but both games are massively different, genre excepted.

Not sure who you're speaking to specifically, @Nameless Sama but for my piece I'll be playing co-op with as many people as I can if it's available, similar to what I did on Ninja Gaiden 3/Razor's Edge and Sigma 2 back in the day. It's unfortunate that the games always have fragmented communities due to platforms.

GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE!
A new trailer for Devil's Third FINALLY got released after 4 long years of keeping us in the dark about this game's existence XD

And this may come off as bad news for some, but it's going to be exclusive to the WiiU. So Sony and Microsoft faithfuls are gonna have to miss out on this catch.

No one posted up the Multiplayer trailer that was shown at the IGN stream yet, so we'll have to wait on that.

Watched that and the live stage show with Itagaki-san. I was less than impressed with the game and it only got worse when I found out it is a Wii U exclusive. I won't be playing it at all now almost for sure. Very disappointing.

Gameplay demo and interview.
Was looking forward to this. Wonder if its a timed exclusive ala NG3:RE. Either way, not impressed with the gameplay. Not getting a WiiU. So sick of military shooters.

Coming as no great surprise to anyone, I am less than enthused about this after E3.

It's a little rough... I liked the guy and girl from the original trailer much more, and just fuck the Wii U in general. But Itagaki is the best, I know the game will be fun in the end.

Whoa nvm.

At least somebody found a home for this game. I think Itagaki just need to admit his time as a game dev is over. He made fun, great games but the bitterness in his heart ruined everything for him and his fans.

Development hell has not been easy on this game. Sheesh, that looked like garbage, to be honest.

My God I can't believe what I saw. I'm disappointed... so very... very disappointed.

I'm so sorry Itagaki, I wonder... are you proud of this? Was this really your vision?
