Did anyone notice this? (Mila's face? 24 total characters?)

It confirms which characters will be in the game, that's all that matters whether it be old or not.

40 dollars says that "old news" is the official list.

Even better is Team Ninja mentioning DLC, so we could definitely see more VF characters, Ryo from Shenmue, and older DOA characters who didn't make the cut.

But we won't have any conformation on which characters exactly until after release.

I'll send you my paypal information once the game hits.

Arnell, DLC characters were shot down.

Actually I did measure it, but there's an easier way to tell. As mentioned some of the other pictures are clearer. <not sure how to quote the one with the "mothafuckin' shades!"> If you compare the end (start) of the red line to the location of the characters names you can readily see it extends out. On one of the other pics with Christie and Helena it looks to be almost all the way off screen. Any other theory? Anyone?

Has to be a glitch. It has no other meaning. It's just the red health that appears when you get hit.

It's just godmode. No need to make a fuss over it.

While I'm sure DrDogg is right, to an extent so is UncleKitchener. If you go back to DOA1 on the PS1 you can set your life bars to Infinite. When you're being hit while in this life setting the red bar that shows for damage actually pops out of the green life bar just like it's shown in those screen shots.

Oh it was DR2K? I missed that Article, my fault, guess that $40 bet is more intriguing no lol.

Berzerk's last interview shot down DLC characters. They believe it's unfair. (which it is) The inevitable WiiU version could get new characters, with Team Ninja being so chummy with Nintendo.

Yeah I'll use that $40 on a 360 version of DOA5.

Something tells me one of two things happened, either they noticed the leak and had no choice but to speed up the reveal, or the "leak" wasn't really a leak and was intended to hype up her reveal which was actually planned to be soon anyway.

It was a leak.

I had my speak with Hayashi a day after the interview with berserk ..

He indeed said that the main focus would be peripheral content (music, costumes .. etc)

but when he saw the demand people had for Leon and Ein .. he kinda implied that he will look into keeping the Character DLC option open just for future plans...

Now this doesn't imply anything ... but I'm just reporting what I got from the guy.

So maybe if the WiiU got something we might get an update a while later ..

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Wii U got a DOA5 port later on down the road. The only thing I don't like about that, is that you can guarantee it will have exclusive content.

It'll also mean more people get access to the game, and a potential new set of players joining the scene.

If Team Ninja learns anything though, I seriously hope they make whatever gets on that version as DLC for us Xbox/PS users.

Yeah, it's definitely still a good thing to release the game to more systems, but I hate console exclusive content.

I don't know. It's not often that the exclusive content of future ports gets added to the older versions. I certainly hope that PS3 and 360 users will get it though.

I really hope they go this route instead of Capcom's tendency to re-release games with extra content for $40. Just imagine, Dead or Alive 5: Hardcore.
