Tekken is not by a far margin, they just added way more characters than DOA, Harada (Producer of Tekken) is just more ambitious. Even Tekken 5 has more than DOA 5, and I think TTT 1 had more as well. I still think DOA 5 should at least be around 28 to 30, but oh well, it's still worth a buy and a good game.
I just read that there's another tournament or something. I still wouldn't bet on it, considering they said they are waiting until after the release to announce secret characters- that's definitely confirmed for sure. Maybe they might slip something on the next two Chronicle episodes. We already know who they are: (Most likely) Pai, Mila, GenFu and Alpha 152 with Ryo being possible as well. Leon would shock people because he's least expected, but who knows?? I'm thinking we still may not see any footage of Mila until we play her lol.Well I guess it would still be helpful seeing pros play them.
Teamninja should surprise us with something we don't know. The only thing I see him announcing as a surprise is Ryo.

Edit: so yeah, I wouldn't count on Tokyo Game Show to have reveals either it may just be the tournament that's it.

You know... if I was Tecmo... and I was going head to head with Tekken Tag Tournament 2... and I knew that TTT2 was releasing on 9/11... and it seemed like we've had a good rivalry for many years... and I still have a brand new character to unveil... I might... just might... release said character on the same day said game is set to release.

Plus, it would be really weird (and stupid) not to promote a newcomer. I mean, that's the best strategy to encourage undecided people to buy DOA5 at the store. "Should we buy TTT2 bro ?" "Are you crazy ? Keep your money for DOA5, remember that hot red chick with big boobs ? I'm planning to main her, just wait 2 weeks bro, loll xDD blablablabla."
And TGS is the perfect moment to appeal to the VF fans with a big VF trailer (Pai, Sarah and Akira), especially because Sega fans will watch TGS. And they will be like "hmmm... at first I wasn't sure DOA would be so great, because I don't really like Sarah and Akira.. but now that Pai is confirmed, I'm totally going to buy it, lololol xDDD blablablabla."
And then Gen Fu, Alpha later in September, because no one really care about them. I mean, people who don't know the franchise prefer the ladies or the cool guys, not the old fart and Lady Toothpaste.

I care about him too, I really like the character and I respect him, since he was Helena's first tag partner.
I was talking about the average people, I mean.. people who don't know DOA (like my friend for example). I'm not sure an old chinese master will appeal him more than a red-haired girl with two big Jigglypuffs. I mean, I would be surprised if Gen had a trailer, but not Mila. That would be a weird marketing choice.
Plus, I would miss his "Suck.. mad dick".

I've seen a few post referencing several more "Fighter Chronicles" vids. Is TN planning more videos after DOA5 releases? If not, there will only be one more, based on their current, biweekly, schedule. That would be September 18. Regarding an official reveal for Mila and others, I guess anything is possible at this point. I can wait for that, I just need SOMETHING. I'm craving any bit of info, or screenshot. I'm like some fiend scouring the web daily for any bit of info I can find.
Anyone heard anything more on the TAG mode (features, changes, etc)? Nothing was really elaborated on it outside of the one gameplay trailer(and the bunnies). TN has been pretty mum on it

Yes, yes, MC Hammer vs Snoop Dogg would be epic- you get a MC Hammer background and MC Hammer classic songs "You can't touch this" is free the other songs you have to download. Funny I was thinking the same thing, but about Mila being shown on TTT2 release.

There are over 600 posts in this thread. About 540 of them are discussing why someone's shadow looks like Darth Vader confirming he's in the game, or how Mila's hair is slightly longer on one side so the person in the picture must be George Bush... who is confirmed to be in the game.
So you'll have to excuse some of the guys who are a bit done with that kind of talk. It's been a long week for them.

There was a leak months and months ago naming the entire roster of DOA5. There was never any mention of Momiji. No one has any reason to believe she would be in the game. There are only TWO possible female characters yet to be announced and that is Mila and Pai. Its not Pai, it doesnt look like Pai and its not where Pai would be on the character select screen, she would more likely be near Akira and Sarah.
We have had 2 images of Mila covering her face forward and from the left side, we have a fairly clear picture of what she looks like and that matches with the image on character select. Its no mystery to anyone, only those that rather propose that its Momji or whoever, than to simply put two and two together and see it for what it is. There are those around who practically swore that Lisa in the fur coat last trailer was not Lisa but most likely Mila. It made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Now we have some who dont think the image on character select is Mila despite knowing what Mila actually looks like this time.
Its Mila. we can move on now.
