Disproportionate Alternate Costumes?

I'm aware of the leak and the potential roster and costume count it indicated, but somehow I don't see all the characters having an equal amount of costumes (six), especially the men (unfortunately). So, Hayabusa was technically the first character revealed, and Hayate the second. But unless I'm mistaken, they both have arguably the LEAST amount of costumes shown thus far, at only two each.

I'm kind of getting worried that they and some others might get the short end of the stick with only two costumes total, which for players who main those characters would be a huge disappointment. Your thoughts?

I've noticed that aswell. And, hope they just aren't showing Hayabusa/Hayates off. Surely they will have more than 2 though. We will have to wait and see.

Maybe they just don't want to spoil everything. Also, "sexy" costumes for girls is a better promotion than alternate costumes for men. That's why Tina/Hitomi have 5 costumes so far, and Ryu/Hayate only two.

I'm not going to talk about that "6 costumes per character" leak, but I think we can even expect more for the girls.
I wish Dogg could confirm how many costumes each character has, or at least how many costumes there are in the game. That would be a nice hint, and I don't think that's a spoiler tbh.

I doubt any character's costume selection will be as bad as DOA4 Tengu. He only had two costumes and they were just palette swaps, even though he had three unique costumes in the previous game.

I'm sure that everyone will have at least four, and there's the possibility of DLC costumes too. So far the most that we've seen is 6, I think, which is for Tina. There might be other that I'm forgetting though.

I still think the collector's edition should give all of the guys speedo costumes.
A victory achieved by a naked man is always more satisfying, but I digress.

Also I'm pretty sure I've seen Hayate in 3 outfits. His black costume, the red one and I'm pretty sure someone used his C2 from DOA4 at Summer Jam (although I could be wrong on that one).

Gotcha. And I could be wrong about the Hayate costume, I'm sure someone who was at Summer Jam would probably know, but I thought I saw someone pick that one in one of the matches.

That would be such a disappointment. I'm a huge fan of his classic "DOA Throwback" outfit from NG: Black and his C1 in the original DOA2&3.

I actually think that most characters will have at least 4-6 regular costumes, not including any DLC extras. With the swimsuits, bunny suits, glasses and whatnot, it seems like TN are paying a fair bit of attention to fan service with this game, so I'd be surprised if the guys didn't get at least a half decent amount of alts. My guess would be that they're just not leaking them because they don't carry the same marketability as the females' options.

Man I hope your wrong here. I'd hope that they wouldn't leave out his classic maskless DOA costume. Though, I do like that white one.

I'll buy whatever DLC they put out, short of accessories. I'm not buying purple horn-rimmed glasses for Ayane, but I'll buy stages, costumes, DLC, et al.
