DOA 5 Tina Thread

One question for my fellow Tina players. I found her :K::K: to be quite useful as it forces BT for your opponent. (:P::K::K:works the same). I follow with :6::F+K: with what I believe is guaranteed. And then :2::F+P:. I found that the string always connects even when people try to slow escape or tech roll (to avoid the ground throw).

So the question is, is this string indeed guaranteed?

When i think of air wall throw what i have in mind is 0:48 Christie's try, such properties in DOA have never existed.

On counter hit yes it should be guaranteed.

i just remember seeing hayabusa do it in a vid, which is why i asked. it would be pretty unfair if he got this option and not an actual grappler. especially since he can juggle into his air throw

Knocking a standing opponent into the wall puts the opponent into an air state. As long as you recover from the attack fast enough, and their height is still high enough you can land an air throw. Hayabusa can do his practically any time.

For Tina, she'd only be able to do her :H+P: air throw, and not her :426::H+P:.

I tried it. I didn't work with me, but I was probably a tad bit too late. I trust what Mr. Wah says as well, so once I get the game at home, I'll experiment more with the timings.

I see. That doesn't sound promising, but I'm going to reserve judgment until I play the game for myself. I'm less concerned with how safe she is and more concerned with ways for her to guarantee damage and avoid the stun system.

If she really got nerfed, then this game just turned into a rental for me. She was the DOA character I was most interested in, and she looked fine in the E3 build. I'm fucking tired of all this nerfing.

Calm down. No one exactly said she's nerfed or unsafe now. Probably just on par with the rest of the character's strengths. I'm sure she's still safe, has guard breaks, guaranteed ground grab set-ups, easy air grab situations and insane throw damage overall plus amazing mix-up game. She's actually very, very good.
