I seriously don't stand the online vs offline wars...Me personally, you should be a great player regardless of online or offline. My two cents.

There is no online/offline division. There never has been and there never will be. In any fighting game community. Anywhere. Ever.

Online players tend to view the game as a means of stroking their ego and acting like a complete jackass. Even if you haven't done anything to them they will paint you as a complete jackass and jump down your throat whenever you say something. And they wonder why we choose to separate ourselves from that class. .

Unless I read that wrong, you're contradicting what you've just said.

It's best to wash that out of your head now and loose these pre-conceived notions that we dislike you or others like you, because we don't. We couldn't care less, in fact.

So you "separate [yourself] from that class" because of what, then? I'm not saying you dislike me, but you seem to have a strong bias against online players. Correct me if I'm wrong.

But you're telling me that you're discriminated against by actual offline players TO THIS EXTENT? By this many people? Are they telling that you're a worthless piece of shit and you need to go hang yourself?

I don't think thats ever been an issue here, so I'm not even sure what your real complaint is. I think it's honestly a myth that has virtually no backing whatsoever, and I think you guys pretty much imagine your own villains out of us. If I'm wrong, please give me examples.

Where did I say I was discriminated against? Hell, I never even used myself in passing save for the time I said I don't care if my opinion is disliked. I mentioned that I wish not to continue this argument, so I'm only addressing inconsistencies in your posts.

Everything else you've said is either correct or something I have no need to reply to.

And also, at least Julius is bringing more hype to Zack, because a lot of people tend to bash the character in its entirety. Play some body that mains Zack (Me included) and I can tell you that Zack IS NOT the worst character. So everybody thats saying this please stop. Zack has the best mixups in the whole game. He unpredictable. Dont judge a character by its cover, thats ALL im saying.

No, I'm saying that the "online only" boat is not legitimate for competition therefore It is not recognized. its simply a body of individuals... or "scrubs", as you're calling it, and we choose not to associate with them. They are disorganized, unethical, rude, and quite frankly terrible at the game for the most part. Most of them have no desire to actually compete either, just talk shit.

And all of this is just on top of the fact that online play is flawed and inconsistent to begin with and cannot support real competition at all. This alone makes the idea of online-only competition unrecognizable.

Clarification is key. So long as you're being honest with what you say your words actually meant, then I have nothing else to add to the matter.

But...but...I'm an "online only" and this picture is just the exact contrary of me :(

Plus Kronin, you actually came here. That's already graduating above the top 90%.

Or... was it the bottom 90%?

wait... if its the top it sounds better, but if you say bottom it makes more sense because numbers start low and go higher..

What the fuck? I'm confused, nap time.

Rikuto don't worry, my previous post wasn't a serious complaint XD

Sadly I haven't the possiblity to travel for tournaments (and then I'm not a player enough good for that), I lag in Doa4 that anyway many of you don't play more for his defects, and it's a shame that there isn't an american server for DOAOL, I would like to play with you guys at least here.

Yesterday I played almost 20 matches against Leifang 12, I have been destroyed but was really funny and useful to play against a so good player ;)

So is everyone in this thread going to SJ6? It would be nice to have a heart to heart discussion about this with mroe knowledge.

I don't think it would be fair or appropriate if I went to SJ6, unless I didn't play in the tournament... which would defeat the purpose of going.

I don't think anyone will mind if you do come to the tournament. It's pre-release and not exactly a serious tournament.

Plus there are other tournaments you could enter like SC5 or VF5.

But let's talk GVN in the GVN thread.

I don't play SC5 anymore. I guess if I came, I would play... but I have a very hard time playing DOA alongside any other fighting game. They just play far too differently. I also haven't played VF5 since before Evo because I have no local scene. Everyone here is either playing Capcom fighters, or waiting for TTT2.

If I went to SJ, it would be for DOA. But I don't know if enough people will enter to make it worth the trip. We'll see... I may hit up some people and split a room or something. I don't know. I'd say it's unlikely though.

And I'd much rather talk about SJ in this thread than what's been discussed. Although I have made my ignore list longer... which is always a positive thing in my book.

SJ will be missing a few old pro members of DOA since MLG is going on in the same weekend. So players such as Mamba, Perfect Legend, to even the low end fillers like Blackula won't be attending. Makes it unpredictable about the numbers of competitors for the event. NEC will be a much better determinant of the player base.

Typically a guy or player we use to fill up some of the slots to increase numbers. He jumps around games such as VF, MK, TK, and DOA. Lol.
