Well, like this it insults my intelligence, which other very Japanese games, anime or manga don't. Even if they use well-known tropes. They can be quite funny if done right.
Maybe, like some in here have proposed earlier, this game is indeed meant for little kids to jump into Final Fantasy? That would explain a lot...
Let's get to something else:
We have some good and some not so good news from the last Final Fantasy XV E3 presentation! Let's start with the
bad news:
- Final Fantasy XV is right now running with a dynamic 900p-1080p resolution, more or less stable 30fps and temporal antialiasing on PS4 and 800p-900p on Xbone with 26fps-30fps and temporal antialiasing.
(For everyone who doesn't understand what that means: It means the PS4 version will look okay image quality and performance-wise, the Xbone version however will look just bad to okay. 800p with an unstable framerate and just temporal antialiasing is really poor optimization in this day and age. I really don't know what they are doing over there. Well, at least they are honest and open.)
- Insomnia (the Tokyo-esque city) will not be explorable as a city. It will however be a combat ground.
- You won't be able to freely adjust camera distance.
good news:
- The story will take about 40 to 50 hours to complete, with all side stuff you will have about 200 hours of content. They said they made fans wait a long time for this game and they want the fans to have a lot of content as a compensation.
- There now will be a photo/camera mode in the game beside Prompto taking pictures after all.
- You will be able to partly or completely turn off the user interface.
- There will be post release DLC content. Among other things also new costumes. (Yay!
